Brancaia is in Chianti Classico, with two estates in Brancaia and Poppi owned by the Swiss Brigitte and Bruno Widmer in 1981. Barbara and Martin Kronenberg–Widmer run together the company located in the heart of Chianti Classico.
The company has immediately been talked about, reaching just with the 1983 vintage the first place in an important tasting of Chianti Classico. Over the years, after a continuous research for quality and a strong identity, the position of Brancaia has strengthened further, also thanks to the most important wine of the company: Brancaia IL BLU, that is already a classic for many wine lovers all over the world.
Martin Kronenberg is responsible for the company management and the worldwide distribution. Barbara Kronenberg–Widmer, as a oenologist, takes care of production. They are supported by the renowned oenologist Dr. Carlo Ferrini.
Brancaia, today, is one of the most innovative companies in Tuscany. Each year its products are rewarded at national and international level. The Brancaia wines are distributed successfully worldwide.
