The territory covers 25 hectars. Vineyards cover more or less 10 hectares, the remaining surface is composed of a specialized olive grove (2 hectares), arable soil and wood. The altitute of the vines, for which the best exposures have been chosen, ranges from 310 to 440 meters above sea level. Vines have an age ranging from 6 to 25 years. The vineyard is almost entirely grown with the “Sangiovese locally called Brunello” variety. Recently, 3 hectares of Merlot and Cabernet have been planted.
The soils are very poor organically but abundantly rocky, geologically belong to the marl of the Cretaceous period. The density of planting varies between 3,333 and 5,500 vines per hectare. The harvest usually takes place in early October.
