Many are the things to tell about this chateau in Piedmont which in 2008 celebrated its 130 years: the creation of the “bio–natural reservation” of Fontanafredda, with a significant reduction of CO2 emissions by the corporate system; the high quality of its wines: there is not the top, but the sequence of Four Clusters (Quattro Grappoli) awards is impressive. Moreover, we would like to mention also the commitment of Fontanafredda for Asti, a great sparkling wine too often mistreated. The answer is Galarej, produced with the “ancestral method”, ie employing the secondary fermentation of the natural sugars of the grapes, without additions. A processing that is new and old at the same time, between ethics and the market.
