At the gates of Castiglione Falletto heart of the Barolo area, on the slopes of Bricco Boschis, the Cavallotto Estate Winery is located, which extends over an area of 25 hectares, of which 23 are vineyards.
The Cavallotto family have been owners, for five generations and in 1948, continuing the work of grandfather Giacomo, father Giuseppe and uncle Marcello, the brothers Olivio and Gildo were the first in the area, as direct farmers, to dedicate themselves to the vinification of their grapes and the marketing of their wines.
Still, the children of Olivio – Laura, Giuseppe and Alfio – continue to make wine exclusively from the grapes grown in the Estate and, from their processing, DOC and DOCG wines are produced: Barolo, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo Langhe, Freisa Langhe, Grignolino Piemonte, Pinot Langhe, Chardonnay Langhe.
