Via Cesare Balbo, 6
12051 Alba (Cuneo)
Italy
The Pio Cesare company was founded in 1881 by our great–great grandfather, Pio Cesare (Pio as name, and Cesare as surname).

Pio Cesare was among the first in the second half of the nineteenth century to believe in the great potential of Barolo, Barbaresco and of other great wines of the Langhe, and was among the first to produce them and making them known. For five generations, we have been making our wines in our ancient cellars in Alba, crossed and enclosed by the old Roman walls of the Town. We have recently completed a massive renovation, with large investments in technology, which has enabled us to enhance more and more the historic and architectural importance of our cellars, the only ones left in the Historic Center of the Town of Alba.
