The company was founded in 1997 in Contrada Calcinara in Candia (Ancona), by the initiative of Mario Berluti, an expert in the wine sector with experiences in the wine field, that brought him to identify in the composition of the soil of the hills of Candia an excellent venue for the development of the vine plant. It is so that in 1999, in the 20 hectares of owned land, he planted the first 4 ha of vineyards with Montepulciano grapes trained with spurred cordon.

The project is to bring the Montepulciano grape to its best expression, enhancing its strengths and highlighting the interaction that this vine can express with the land of Candia. That is why in 2005 the new vinification winery was founded and, only in 2007, the first Folle was created.

Meanwhile the vineyards were expanded reaching 9 hectares in total and also by the 4 hectares of olive groves the first single–variety oils were produced.

The whole family takes part in the entire production cycle, from the pruning of the vines to the harvest of the grapes in small boxes, from aging in oak barrels to the wine marketing.
