The Marchesi Fezia farm produces excellent wine, oil, and has one of the most important Chianina cattle breeding.
Since 2011, in the territory of Valdichiana Romana, Mario De Lisi and his wife Monica Antonini have taken over a modern cellar located in a nature reserve in Borgo Chianaiole, in the vicinity of Ficulle. They conduct vineyards in the nearby localities Sala, Santa Cristina and Olevole with the help of a qualified staff.
Mario and Monica invest in replanting old grape varieties, then giving birth to a project constantly watched by a professional association of agronomists and oenologist. They deal with the cultivation of vineyards by means of highly selective techniques aiming to a low yield of grape per hectare (30-60 hundred kilograms), reducing the use of pesticides.
Ferruccio Lamborghini purchased it for leaks in the seventies, enamored of the Umbrian countryside. The area has a population of about one hundred hectares of land, of which thirty–two for the cultivation of the vine. Today, Patrizia, his daughter, manages the company: the production of wines is aimed at the pursuit of quality and territoriality.
The Farm Baldassarri arises from the passion and the entrepreneurial abilty of Luciano Baldassari and his sons.
The Farm is consisting of 10 hectars of vineyard: the principal varietals are: Grechetto, Merlot, Sangiovese and Sagrantino. In 2005 a winery of a capacity of 2.000 hl was built in order to make wine of their own grapes and producing wines to release bottled for catering or wine shops.
