Azienda Agricola Madonnabruna

The Madonnabruna farm cultivates its own vineyards in the rolling hills of Fermo, near the Adriatic Sea in the Marche region, at an altitude ranging between 100 and 300 meters. Sea breezes that caress the vines, the mild climate and fertile soils make our hills ideal for the cultivation of the vine.

The rows are bred with the technique of spurred cordon and production is limited by a careful thinning of the fruits. All lands of the company are cultivated according to the methods of production with low environmental impact.

In the company they cultivate mostly Montepulciano and Sangiovese that are history of the oenology of these lands. Next to them, recently, small plots of land have been introduced with some of the best international grape varieties, such as Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines, in order to achieve innovative but always of the highest quality wines. Wine is made ​​according to the most modern techniques and making great use of the cold. Much attention also is paid to the stages of maturation of the wines that, for red wines, takes place in oak barrels in a basement room at a constant and controlled temperature.

Our Passerina I.G.P. "Chrisor" (protected geographical indication) has straw yellow color and golden hues. The aromas are typical of tropical fruit and white flowers, broom. A native vine (typical of the Marche region, it was once used to give flavor to wines such as Falerio) now is worked in single–variety to have a unique product 100% Passerina, 7 months in steel barrels and from 3 to 6 months in the bottle (13% volume).

Our Falerio Pecorino D.O.P. "AMOS" (protected designation of origin, which takes the place of the D.O.C.) in single–variety, of straw yellow color with golden hues. Fruity and floral aroma with hints of aromatic herbs, hawthorn and banana. Enveloping taste, in the mouth it is very hot and supported by good acidity. 14.5 Winner of the Award of Merit at the National Competition of Wines for Fish (a competition held in Ancona for 60 years) The name of the grape is Pecorino (a grape called like the wine) which was called so because it was eaten by the shepherds who brought their sheep to pasture in the mountains underlying the Sibillini.
