Monterucco

The Valenti brothers have always been able to obtain, from the lands of Oltrepò Pavese, wines of the highest quality and typicality.

The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Cigognola, Castana and Canneto Pavese for a total area of ​​twenty hectares.

The harvest is done exclusively by hand by selecting clusters, to achieve maximum quality in the final product.

Castello di Cigognola

The Castello di Cigognola company stands among the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese,
brembraced by Piedmont and Emilia, in what was once known , until the Unification of
Italy, as “Old Piedmont”. It springs from the intuition of the proprietors, Gian Marco
and Letizia Moratti, who, together with the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella and a team
of experts gambled on a particularly favourable terroir. Significant investments in vines
and the cellars transformed the ancient castle into a point of reference for excellence.
And so, high recognition soon arrived from the most prestigious Italian wine guides.
