The Blazic farm, a family–run company of direct growers located in the heart of the hills of Cormons, has been producing wines with continuity since 1923 and, since 1968, it belongs to the DOC Collio. Just in the 20s it had to deal with the problem of reconstruction of the vineyards destroyed by war; it was the beginning of a new era, that would address the local viticulture to recognized and appreciated channels of quality and seriousness. Today, in the country, there is harmony between a traditional winemaking, with native vines and old clones, and a more modern agronomic management, with new techniques and equipment to respect nature but at the same time allowing to produce grapes that retains all its flavors and aromas who then find themselves in the wines. The terrain consisting of stratified marl and sandstone of Eocene origin, an ideal substrate for vinegrowing. The proximity of the sea and of the Julian Pre–Alps contributes to a perfect microclimate for balanced wines to be drunk fresh but even after medium–long aging. The micro–climate, the land and the men are, in the hill of Zegla, in perfect balance, especially for the production of white wines going from grapes to the glass only with the help of a proper winemaking processing, without any intervention of a chemical nature.
The winery is based on a rich farming tradition and was founded at the beginning of the 19th century at Brazzano near Cormòns in the province of Gorizia by Luigi Zorzon, the grandfather of the present owner Giorgio DEGANIS. The familiy-run winery is situated among green hills in the heart of the Collio which offer a unique panorama, in close proximity to many historic towns including Gorizia, Grado, Trieste, Aquileia, Udine and Cividale. We currently manufacture prestigious white and red wines respecting both tradition and nature. Giorgio Deganis together with his Austrian girlfriend leads the company. We are delighted to welcome guests in our winery for tasting wines and regional products. In addition we offer two attractive rooms and one apartment for spending some days in the beauty of the COLLIO area.
The Simon Komjanc company is situated in the charming hills of San Floriano del Collio in Valerisce locality, in the DOC Collio renowned for the production of fine wines. The company has an area of 20 hectares, of which 11 hectares of vineyards.
It vinifies an average of 600 hl of wine, that sells mainly in Italy. The grapes come exclusively from vineyards owned and their vinification takes place in accordance to the modern technology, while respecting the traditional system that has always been used in the Collio. As an additional guarantee and in protection of quality, the product is bottled and marketed by the producing company.
The Polje farm covers a territory of more than 12 hectares of vineyards, some of them very old, situated on the sunny slopes of a hill and facing South–east.
The wines that express in the best way the characteristics typical of the "polje", to say the sinkholes that mark the lands of the Collio, in the surrounding area of Cormons, are Friulano (formerly Tocai Friulano), Ribolla and Sauvignon, which are also the ones that best enhance the grapes of this prestigious wine area, one of the most interesting in the world.
From other red grape vineyards of the eastern hills of Friuli, Refosco Dal Peduncolo Rosso is produced, a structured and elegant red wine, fruit of the great tradition of Friuli.
As an impressionist painter, Conti Formentini reinterprets the Collio area and its vineyards with the goal of creating authentic, unique and distinctive wines.
This method requires a daily commitment and rigor in the vineyard and winemaking fantasy in the winery, that are the basis of the quality of Conti Formentini.

Casa Vinicola Conti Formentini is situated between the rivers Isonzo and Judrio, on the border with Slovenia.
For almost five centuries ago it has been belonging to the Friulian winemaking tradition and even more to the reality of the Collio area.
Cantina Conti Formentini is located among the vineyards that surround the castle like a little well preserved gem where attention and care have remained unchanged for centuries and where the most up to date techniques of vinification are applied.

The soils of this area, with its particular structure of marl and sandstone, and the cool and windy climate, allow us to enhance the aroma of the grapes and to produce wines of great personality.
The soils are poor in nutrients but rich in trace elements, and thanks to this structure and content of mineral salts vines grow properly fed and resist better in periods of drought.
The quality of the grapes also depends on the fact that always, in the Collio area, the vineyards are small plots that are grown with love and care from their owners as if they were their own little vegetable garden.

Azienda Agricola La Bellanotte (Farra d’Isonzo). Villa Baselli, former Strassoldo, is marked on old cadastral maps such as Casa dei Ronchi, but it is known by the appellation of La Bellanotte, a place where different cultures and traditions come together and where Ms. Giuliana Guadagni, of Tuscan origin, found in Friuli a sincere land. The company’s philosophy and values in which La Bellanotte believes are developed and made recognizable in its products. The desire to improve does not experience breaks or afterthought, at La Bellanotte they work and experiment the pursuit of the best possible expression of the territory. In addition to the masterful Pinot Grigio Conte Lucio and the excellent Luna de Ronchi, the company produces Chardonnay La Mé Gnòt, Malvasia Istriana, the very tasty Armonico and a great excellent Piccolit raisin: Vento dell’Est.
The RADIKON farm is located on the high ground of Oslavia (part of the municipality of Gorizia) along the varied ridge that from the bridge on Isonzo goes to San Floriano, in the heart of Collio. The company consists of about ten hectares of vineyards located in proximity to the corporate seat and placed on steep slopes, as tiring to work as generous in quality. The soil, from the geological point of view, corresponds to the optimal conditions for viticulture of excellence.
Since 1980, the company has been conducted by Stanislao (Stanko) Radikon, his wife Suzana and son Saa, with a degree in Viticulture and Enology.
Between the the areas of the Collio DOC and Isonzo del Friuli, Azienda Agricola Casa Zuliani is located in one of the historic wine regions of Italy, dedicated to the cultivation of the vine since pre–Roman times.
A renowned area, where benevolent natural features combine fortunate weather conditions. Fruit of the happy meeting is the generation of noble grapes, which are sublimated in the creation of fine wines.
Founded by Zuliano Zuliani in 1923 and, nowadays, run by the direct heirs, the company fully expresses the typicality of this generous land. Wines of high level, inexplicable in words ... unforgettable in tastings.
The accurate clonal selection, obtained in collaboration with the most important Friulian nurseries, and the detection of the best suited lands translate into an annual production of 100,000 bottles, absorbed mainly by the demand of the markets of Europe, North America and the Far East.
Since 2000, Casa Zuliani shows itself with a renewed image, willing to highlight the internationalization of the company next to the high quality standard of its products, both in organoleptic and of reliability terms.
In 1850, in the beautiful and harmonious hills of Collio, in Zegla, the Sturm farm was founded.
For more than two centuries, from generation to generation, from father to son, the passion for the wine art has been handed down, to the present day, where we meet Oscar Sturm.
With regard to the business management, this has always been family–run. Oscar Sturm now leads the company using the precious help of his colleagues: his wife Dunja (Sommelier) and his children.
The vineyard surface now amounts to 10 hectares, all of property. This organizational aspect is extremely important for a variety of transactions and accurate controls that are put into practice during the entire production cycle, towards commercialization, to guarantee the quality of our wines.
Under the chemical point of view, the soils are of sandstone of Eocene marl. This type of soil is particularly suitable for the cultivation of the vine.
The vine training systems used in the company are two: "Guyot" and "Capuccina". On each strain there are not more than 10/12 buds per fruit. In the vineyard, during the summer months, a thinning of grapes is carried out to select the best grapes for winemaking and to achieve a further concentration of the components of the berry.
With these techniques of vineyard management, aimed at reducing yields, we produce an average of 9 t/ha of healthy and ripe grapes. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, in order to preserve the integrity and the peculiarities of the organoleptic characteristics.
The winery is completely underground, ensuring in this way a constant temperature throughout the year.
The winery presents a beautiful harmony between stainless steel containers (equipped with automatic temperature control) and French oak barrels (for the fining and the aging of red and white wines). It houses modern equipment and machinery, such as the horizontal pneumatic press (for the soft pressing of the grapes), the wine refrigerator, not "invasive" filters, the stemmer (to prevent the passage to must of the bitter tannins present in the stalk, etc.).
Special precautions and care are paid in hygiene and cleanliness which are essential to prevent the development of potential sources of pollution.
We are one of the oldest wineries in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Founded in 1788 by Domenico Blasig in Ronchi dei Legionari, the Estate of Blasig passed was handed down generation after generation keeping with constancy and commitment the same vocation: preserving the typicality of indigenous grapes, to take care of the vineyards with dedication and to focus on quality, with deep passion for the craft of the winemaker.

The estate of Borgo Conventi is located in the extreme eastern part of Friuli, in the province of Gorizia, on the road that leads from the town of Gradisca to Farra d’Isonzo.
Borgo Conventi is located in Collio Goriziano, a hill (the Collio, in effect) that stands like an island in a sea of infinite shades of green.
The Karst is not only known for its wines and flavors, but also for the historical events that shook Europe and changed the fate of Italy at the beginning of the twentieth century.
The portion of the Karst, where the Castelvecchio Farm arises, in effect, was the scene of World War I in which these lands were snatched to the Emperor of Austria and the villa itself was for a time the seat of the Italian military command. The territory that surrounds it still retains traces of those bitter battles.
There, Giuseppe Ungaretti wrote "The Buried Harbour", a collection of poems written during a year spent at the front. Today, after hundreds of years, Castelvecchio preserves unchanged the testimonies of these events: the graffiti left by soldiers in the living room of the villa, the foxholes and paths in the forest that offer the visitor a chance to retrace firsthand some of the milestones for the history and culture of the latest century, among glories and tragedies.

In 1932 the Villanova Estate was purchased by a a visionary entrepreneur, Arnaldo Bennati, who turned what was a historic company into a modern enterprise.

It is the year 1972, when our father Luigi Antonutti, one of the deans of the Friulian wine, fulfilled what he had dreamt for a long time: to live full time as a winemaker. In love with the land and the fruits that these hills dispense he bought a few hectares in the heart of the Collio Goriziano area. Azienda Agricola Subida di Monte was than founded, that over the years grew, now occupying an area of about 10 hectares, thanks to the love and dedication that Gigi has been able to give it. Now it is up to us children, Cristian and Andrea, the task of continuing on the path of our father, so we take care personally of managing the vineyards and the cellar. Our goal is to produce wines with utmost respect for nature and the land, therefore, synthetic chemicals, pesticides and herbicides are not used anymore. We respect nature and its laws looking for a harmonious relationship with the surrounding environment in order to produce natural grapes from which a wine that is an expression of the land and the vine is made. The management of the vineyards provides only the specific use of natural organic fertilizers, a controlled planting of grass, and for the defense against the cryptogams only products with low environmental impact, not detrimental to the health of man, are used. The grapes are harvested by hand, vinification takes place mainly in stainless steel tanks with temperature control of fermentation while fining requires wines to stay on the lees until the bottling period. An average of 50,000 bottles a year, obtained from 10 hectares of vineyards with different planting densities (5,000–7,000 vines/hectare) are produced.
Early 70s: the undersigned, unconvinced student in Law, made the same discovery and devoted more and more to the company and less and less to the law firm, which in a beautiful May morning was abandoned without regret.
Early 90s: my wife Veronica (female intuition and foresight) "forced" me to buy another 3 and a half hectares with the result of producing, in addition to our classic wines, even Verduzzo with which we produce a Raisin wine, La Veronica, precisely!
