The Estates are located in the territory of Castrovillari. This is an impressive complex of about 123 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, a true paradise for the Magliocco, Montonico, Aglianico, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay grape varieties. The Estates are run by families of farming tradition and have been able to achieve with modern techniques, respectful of the environment, the goal of making wine ambassador and conscious medium of the entire territory.
The Agricultural Company Farneto del Principe stands on a hill at the foot of Altomonte, resplendent town in the province of Cosenza, perpetually kissed by the sun and caressed by the gentle breeze of the Ponentino, which goes from the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Ionian Sea, this corner of Calabria is ideal for the cultivation of the vine and especially for some native varieties that we have discovered with passion and representing our flagship.
These conditions combined with the wine culture and tradition and passion of men who grow in full respect of the nature of these beautiful lands are the foundation of the company Farneto del Principe.
The estate is about 200 Ha of which approximately 70 hectares of vineyards, 15 hectares of Oliveto and the rest to cropland and woodland.
The company has as its aims the development and promotion of wine–growing in Calabria, which mainly have to start from a careful selection of raw materials.
Poderi Marini is a winery that uses traditional winemaking methods to produce high-quality wines. They focus on sustainable practices and take pride in their attention to detail. Their wines showcase the unique characteristics of the grapes they use, resulting in complex and flavorful wines that are sure to please any wine lover.
A small winery, cured by Ermanno and Piergiorgio Falvo personally to the smallest detail, with more passion than financial resources. With white floors and walls, polished stainless steel for fermentation and storage tanks, the winery has an organized appearance, an environment in which the colors and aromas of the wine will show all their glory. In the cellar tonneaux and barrique barrels made of French oaks (allier, never, troncais, centre and Vosges) make a fine show. Sized for a yearly maximum production of 200,000 bottles at the peak, on an area of 850 square meters, the winery has been operating since 2010. To direct the work in the winery is the winemaker Vincenzo Mercurio with his characteristic style, designed to minimize any technological intervention and to assure the most recognizable bouquets of grape varieties.
Donnici ’99 has become, in a short span of time, the company of reference of the designation of the same name. The unity of the company consists of approximately 17 hectares, of which 6.5 hectares of vineyards, grouped in large plots with excellent location and exposure to the cultivation of vines, and the rest is destined to olive groves and forest typical of the Mediterranean scrub.
The Winery bears the name of its founder, and has a hundred years of history, years in which several generations have passed through. Today, Pasquale, flanked by his wife, driven by a strong entrepreneurial dynamism, repeats this renewed tradition of winemaking integrated into a modern winery.
The Senatore family is known, in the winemaking area of Cirò wine, as an ancient witness of passion, competence and tradiction. The heritage of the Company is represented from 40 hectares of which about 30 suited to vineyard producing DOP and IGP wines.
The Lento family has been able to quickly turn its small winery into a reality in step with the times and with the global market.
