A network portal of Wine Idea. Discover the world of Wine idea

A unique experience combining nature, wine, and rural culture in the green heart of Italy.

When the grape harvest comes to an end, it's time to slow down, to be enveloped by the colors of the landscape and listen to the breath of the vines as they prepare to rest. With this inspiration, " Umbria Wine Trekking " – First Edition was born, scheduled for Sunday, October 12th , an experience that invites you to walk the paths that connect woods and vineyards and discover the wineries scattered throughout the territories of Montefalco, Bevagna, Assisi, Torgiano, Perugia, Marsciano, Gubbio, Orvieto, and Amelia.

"With this new format ," emphasizes Giovanni Dubini , president of the Umbria Wine Tourism Movement, " we want to give wine tourists the opportunity to experience Umbria in an even more authentic way, walking through the landscapes that have been home to our vineyards for centuries. Not just tastings, therefore, but an experience that combines nature, culture, and wine, to help visitors discover the beauty of a region that excites in every season ."

In Montefalco, participants will be able to encounter Scacciadiavoli and Perticaia , in Bevagna the Agricola Mevante , in Assisi the Azienda Agricola Meazzi , in Torgiano the historic Lungarotti , in Perugia the evocative Chiesa del Carmine , in Marsciano the Cantina La Spina , in Gubbio the Cantina Semonte , in Orvieto the Palazzone winery together with the Cantine Neri , and in Amelia the Cantina Zanchi . A widespread itinerary that becomes a journey into the winemaking heart of Umbria.

Walking through the vineyards and hills, accompanied by expert guides, means coming into direct contact with the rural heart of the region, discovering the places where the wines are born, and being surprised by the stories of the winemakers, custodians of traditions and memories. Each winery thus becomes an outpost of culture, a welcoming haven, a place where time slows down and the glass becomes a tool of knowledge.

The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome at the farm and continue at 9 a.m. with the start of the trek, which will wind through rolling hills and vineyards now ready for their winter rest. This event is also open to families, with children aged ten and up welcome.

Umbria Wine Trekking is made possible thanks to the support of Belbo Sugheri and the BCC di Spello e del Velino, and is the first in a series of events designed to combine outdoor activities with the hospitality of Umbrian wineries, offering a new and poetic way to connect with the wine-growing landscape of the Green Heart of Italy.
