The award comes just months after Monteleone21/Locanda Costasera was included in Wine Enthusiast ’s international “ Best Winery Restaurants 2026 ” selection, which brings together the 57 best 'cellar restaurants' in the world.

The Masi Wine Experience wins the Best Of Wine Tourism 2027 award in the “Food and Wine Experiences” category, thanks to Monteleone21 , Masi’s multifunctional centre in the heart of Valpolicella , which is home to the Locanda Costasera restaurant .

The prestigious award was presented as part of the tenth edition of the international competition promoted by the Great Wine Capitals (GWC) network , which brings together eleven of the world's leading wine-producing cities and regions, united by the central role of wine in their economic, cultural, and tourism identities. The prize is promoted locally through the Verona Chamber of Commerce .

The award's citation highlights how Monteleone21's food and wine offerings, guided by the Wine First philosophy, place wine at the center of the experience and showcase the Masi range through food pairings designed to highlight its characteristics. Monteleone21's contemporary architecture also contributes to creating a comprehensive and engaging hospitality experience. The jury emphasized this well: " Masi's offerings in Valpolicella provided guests with an immersive 'Gourmet Wine Experience,' crafted around the contours of a glass and developed within an architectural setting that ensures a versatile welcome ."

The “ Best of Wine Tourism-Gastronomic Experiences ” comes hot on the heels of Monteleone21/Locanda Costasera’s inclusion in Wine Enthusiast ’s international “ Best Winery Restaurants 2026 ” selection, which brings together the 57 best ‘cellar restaurants’ in the world .

With the 2027 Food and Wine Experiences award at Monteleone21, which adds to the Global Best of Wine Tourism won in 2019 by the Masi Wine Discovery Museum at Tenuta Canova in Lazise, the Masi Wine Experience brings the number of awards won in the competition to five , consolidating a path of excellence in wine tourism that has also reached international proportions.

The awards received to date are:

• Best of Wine Tourism 2018: award to Masi Wine Experience for its project promoting wine, the region, and hospitality, with particular reference to the Possessioni Serego Alighieri estate .
• Best of Wine Tourism 2019: recognition in the “Innovative Experiences in Wine Tourism” category for the Masi Wine Discovery Museum at Tenuta Canova , in Lazise del Garda.
• Global Best of Wine Tourism 2019: international title awarded to the Masi Wine Experience for the Masi Wine Discovery Museum at Tenuta Canova , in Lazise del Garda.
