The city of taste, Turin, presents the wine region, Piedmont. OFF program of the Salone: from the center to the suburbs more than 100 events in over 60 locations.

The first edition of the Turin Wine Show is born, a tribute to the land and the winemaking activity of Piedmont, between history and innovation. From Saturday 4 to Monday 6 March, four symbolic places of Turin, the Museum of the Risorgimento , the Cavallerizza Reale , Palazzo Birago & Palazzo Cisterna are hosting a new major event which is part of the program of major events in the city.

An OFF schedule also develops from the center to the suburbs and includes an entire week dedicated to wine. From 28 February to 6 March , over 100 events spread across more than 60 locations. Protagonists together with the producers , the restaurants, the piole, the wine bars and the cult places of the city, including dinners, artists, tastings , writers and lots of entertainment.

A Turin Wine Show born to sip all of Piedmont in an overview that photographs the entire territory: from the wines of Upper Piedmont to those of the Val di Susa passing through the Pinerolo area and the hills of Novara. Without neglecting the Canavese, reaching the Alto Monferrato, the Asti area and the hills of Turin, reaching as far as those of Tortona and Ovada. The Cuneo area will not be missing, starting from the heart of the Langhe and Roero, up to the territories of the Val Bormida, on the edge of Liguria.

A new event that opens its doors to Turin residents, tourists and those curious about the world of wine, but also to industry experts, distributors and restaurateurs. In addition to the exhibition of the cellars , the extensive program also includes meetings , tastings, dinners and masterclasses , to get to know and learn more about the best terroirs of the region with its thousands of labels.

As explained by Enzo Pompilio D'Alicandro, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce : "As the Chamber of Commerce of Turin, we welcome this new Wine Show and we are committed to being protagonists through various actions: we make available our institutional headquarters, Palazzo Birago, for master classes and in-depth meetings on topics such as wine tourism and the impact of climate change in viticulture; we promote the presence at the event of our producers and the Regional Wine Cellar of the Province of Turin; lastly, we relaunch our Torino DOC selection which brings together 44 companies and 165 Turin wines, with the new guide just published.We will then continue throughout the year with our activities to promote Turin's viticulture, in the context of autumn events such as Portici Divini-Vendemmia Torino and major city events such as the ATP Finals".

TURIN WINE SHOW 2023

Four symbolic places in the historic center of Turin become the Great Widespread Exhibition Hall of regional producers, consortia and wine bars, where the general public can meet Piedmontese winemakers and taste their excellence.

From Saturday 4th to Monday 6th March, the heart of the event takes place .

The general public is immersed in the inebriating royal atmosphere of the Museo del Risorgimento , in the rooms of Palazzo Carignano which, for the occasion, transform the Savoy residence into a UNESCO World Heritage Site that welcomes over 60 producers . The museum thus becomes the home of Gambero Rosso with its selection of Piedmontese producers and a guest area featuring 20 great wineries from all over Italy, within a calendar of 10 free tastings (subject to availability).

We continue within another UNESCO World Heritage Site, today a contemporary space in the heart of the city animated by Paratissima, the Cavallerizza Reale , where more than 100 wineries are expected, in collaboration with Go Wine and Fisar Turin . La Cavallerizza hosts the regional consortia and wine shops from all over Piedmont as well as an area entirely dedicated to natural wines .

A peculiarity of this first edition is the Talk Arena which, with its rich program of presentations, debates and tastings from the world of wine, brings the experts and protagonists of the world of wine to center stage in a dedicated space in the Cavallerizza Reale. In the external area of the Cortile della Corte Mosca , the best street food in the area offer their delicacies to the public.

Among the historic buildings involved in the heart of the city also Palazzo Birago & Palazzo Cisterna, united in a single event and with a single common thread . Palazzo Birago, the institutional seat of the Turin Chamber of Commerce, in fact becomes the residence of the Great Masterclasses of the Turin Wine Show. Masters of ceremonies are Fisar Torino together with the Banca del Vino of Pollenzo , the Onav of Turin, La strada del Barolo and the great wines of the Langhe . At the center more than 20 large wineries between horizontal and vertical tastings: the great vintages and the discovery of the most characterizing crus of Piedmont and Italy.

Furthermore, again at Palazzo Birago, a rich new schedule of talks and insights organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin in collaboration with the Metropolitan City of Turin, the Royal Road of Turin Wines, CIA Agricoltori delle Alpi, Arpa Piemonte, the Chemical Laboratory of the Chamber of commerce of Turin, AIAB in Piedmont, Enoteca Regionale dei vini of the province of Turin enlivens the day of Monday 6 March to talk about sustainability, innovation, climate change, wine tourism and the future in the world of wine.

Palazzo Birago continues this journey with a guided itinerary in the splendid courtyard of Palazzo Cisterna , to visit its stately rooms and taste, among others, some of the excellent Torino DOC wines .

During the weekend , another appointment not to be missed by " Vendemmia a Torino - Grapes in Town " and " Portici Divini ". In the spirit of continuing to promote the wine-growing area of Piedmont also in the city, on the occasion of the Wine Show and supporting the #domenicalmuseo initiative, on 5 March a free shuttle, the " Degustibus " will be available to the public which, starting from Castello (opposite Teatro Regio), arrives at Villa della Regina. In addition to the Savoy residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, it is possible to visit the Vigna della Regina, the only urban vineyard in Italy to produce a DOC certified cru wine.
