Not only a wine review, but also a fascinating journey through history, art and flavors to discover the most renowned historic houses in the city of Trento.

After the break imposed by the health emergency, the spring appointment is renewed with the longest-running Trentino wine review. The embrace between the city and its wines is transformed – as per tradition dating back to 1925 – into a celebration of conviviality and sociality. From 11 to 14 May , "Trentino & Wine" will turn the spotlight on the wine-growing vocation of our province and will do so by organizing a program of initiatives which will involve the main historic residences of the city from Palazzo Roccabruna, headquarters of the Provincial Enoteca of Trentino.

In the intentions of the Consorzio vini del Trentino, which organizes the event, the purpose of the event is not only to make known the enological innovations, but also - and above all - to educate to conscious consumption through tastings guided by sommeliers who will help guests to grasp the aromas and flavors that make each label unique and unrepeatable. A particular focus will be dedicated to Trentino grappa as an authentic expression of our traditions: the grappa will be offered alone or mixed in tasty cocktails, without ever losing sight of the awareness required for responsible consumption.

The event will also be an opportunity to commemorate the commitment made by the Trentino Wine Consortium in the field of sustainability in support of environmentally friendly agricultural practices. To date, over 90% of the vineyard area in Trentino is certified according to the provisions of the National Integrated Production Quality System which involves 6,000 winegrowers, 30 wineries and which provides for the analysis of over 400 grape samples a year with documentary checks on the 100% of the winegrowers. A success that places our area at the top of the national chart for its commitment to sustainability and which has allowed Trentino to receive the prestigious "Wine Region Of The Year" award in 2022 assigned by the international magazine Wine Enthusiast. A further step in this direction was sanctioned by the first edition of the consortium's Sustainability Report , which represents a unicum at a national level, which essentially guarantees the validity of the agronomic approach of the entire provincial wine sector.

The fulcrum of the 2023 edition of "Trentino & Wine" will be the "Wine & ME" event which will give the opportunity to have wine and grappa tastings at Palazzo Roccabruna - promotional headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of Trento - with the assistance of sommelier (every day from 17 to 22 and Sunday 14 May from 11 to 20). Particularly numerous will be the representative wines of the territory such as Teroldego, Marzemino, Müller Thurgau, Nosiola and Trentodoc.

The lucky appointment with “Wine & History” also returns, a tasting journey that involves all the senses through the history of the city with oenological stops at the main city residences (Palazzo Thun, Palazzo Trautmannsdorf, Palazzo Geremia), starting from Palazzo Roccabruna which for the occasion boasts a Conte di Luna room in its maximum splendour, recently restored (on May 12 at 9 pm, on May 13 at 5 and 9 pm; on May 14 at 11 and 3 pm).

Friday 12 May from 6 to 9 pm the appointment will be with “Wine & Grappa”: Trentino grappa meets the world of mixed drinks in the name of taste, music and responsible consumption.

Finally, on Saturday 13 May from 6 to 9 pm, the Enoteca provinciale del Trentino will be the setting for a union between the art of wine and that of music in "Wine & Music", an event that will see the opportunity to taste the collection of "Trentino & Wine” on the notes of an original musical accompaniment.

The review is organized by the Trentino Wine Consortium in collaboration with the Trento Chamber of Commerce, the Trentino Grappa Protection Institute, the Trento Doc Institute, the Municipality of Trento, Trentino Marketing and the Autonomous Province of Trento

This communication serves as an invitation to press colleagues to participate in the inaugural event to be held at Palazzo Roccabruna on 11 May at 18.00
