36 stories take the reader on a journey to discover Montalcino and Brunello. A narration that spans the centuries between great characters of the past, saints, poets and warriors.

Once upon a time in Montalcino ... it could be the beginning of a story that has as its protagonists a unique city and its wine, Brunello di Montalcino, among the most famous in the world and Italian wine excellence. The Tommasi family has chosen to write 36 stories that accompany the reader on a fascinating and engaging journey through the centuries to discover Montalcino and Brunello, the wine that made it immortal. This is how the #CasisanoTales were born , a new way of telling the denomination and its origins, and the starting point of this journey can only be Casisano , the splendid farm, which the Tommasi family has been leading since 2015.

"When we arrived in Montalcino and Casisano he became part of our family - comments Giancarlo Tommasi, oenologist at Tommasi Family Estates - we fulfilled a dream: to give life to a high-profile wine project that accompanied our Amarone in Italy and in the world. Today we find that project in the Brunello that Casisano produces and we renew it with dedication in each vintage, with the aim of giving value to the peculiarities of this area, in terms of freshness, minerality and verticality of the Sangiovese grapes. The keywords are elegance, harmony and respect for typicality. With Emiliano Falsini , the oenologist who follows Casisano with me, we take great care in the management of the vineyards and we carry out a particular and meticulous vinification by parcels to create a Brunello, which can be distinguished in this specific area of Montalcino. Brunello is the undisputed protagonist of this territory and for this reason we wanted to tell the stories that lie behind a wine loved as much by nobles as by courtiers, saints and warriors. We hope that readers will find, in these stories, the pleasure of discovery that history always brings with it ».

#CasisanoTales is a tribute that the Tommasi family wanted to give to this magical territory and the first five stories are already available online on the winery's website. Sacred and profane chase each other and intertwine with the life of the vineyard and of men, who have paid homage to breathtaking views and to a wine that has become an icon, which remains etched in memory and that poets and writers from Carducci to Hemingway have made immortal with the their verses.
Cinema also passed through Montalcino with Zeffirelli, Monicelli and Fellini photographed in the square in the shadow of the ancient tower of the Palazzo Comunale. Montalcino crossroads of meetings, trade and tastings, where the wind feeds and generates strong, intense and unforgettable flavors. Montalcino dedicated to quality agriculture and guardian of its biodiversity. Montalcino del Brunello, Montalcino di Casisano: a dream now reality.
