Discovering Trentino, seduced by the charm of the foliage and the taste of the season's food and wine excellences, including tastings, outdoor walks and moments of study. The review of the Trentino Wine and Flavors Road is back, celebrating autumn and its traditions through a series of initiatives scheduled every weekend in October in various locations: from Vallagarina to Valle dei Laghi, from Valle di Cembra to Giudicarie, from Valsugana to Alpe Cimbra, passing through the hills of Trento.

To discover the most evocative landscapes through a journey of taste that involves wineries, food producers, distilleries and restaurants, it is possible to participate in DiVin Ottobre , a rich calendar of over thirty events organized by the members of the Trentino Wine and Flavors Route for offer nature and food and wine lovers engaging activities during all weekends in October .

1st weekend

It starts from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October , at 10.00 , with Un Inkino in autumn , in the hills of Trento , with a guided tour of the cellar, a walk and a picnic among the vineyards. An initiative that will be replicated in the same way on all weekends of the month .

In Cavedine, in the Valle dei Laghi, Saturday 3 October, starting at 10.30 , the cycle of the vine / life takes place, an itinerant day to discover the various production phases of the vine that begins with a visit to beekeeping followed by a visit to the vineyard with tasting , lunch in the farmhouse and closing of the afternoon in the distillery. The occasion will be repeated on Saturday 10 and Saturday 17 October .

In Ala, on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October, from 9.00 to 18.00 , the October Enotour program is scheduled, a “multisensory” itinerary with itinerant tasting among the vineyards of wines and local products. Also in this case, the initiative will be repeated every weekend in October .

A real dive into the traditions of Alpe Cimbra with Herbsttorgelen Zimbar , scheduled for Sunday 4 October, from 10.00, in Luserna : food and wine trekking to discover the delicacies of local cuisine. In Valle di Cembra, again on Sunday 4 October , but starting at 4.00 pm , in Altavalle there is finally Musica & Gusto , a musical aperitif dedicated to local food and wine excellences.

2nd weekend

The second weekend of October sees Marzemino as protagonist with La Vigna Excellent. And it is immediately Isera , scheduled for Sunday 11 October . A special day in the "City of Wine" of Isera to discover this typical red wine that has been able to express itself at its best in this area. In addition to tastings and Marzemino themed menus, the day includes the award ceremony of the La Vigna Excellent competition , the first and only one in Italy and Europe that rewards not the best wine but the most refined grape variety and the farmer who cultivated it .

3rd weekend

The third weekend is instead dedicated to Müller Thurgau, a typical vine of the Cembra Valley, with the XXXIII Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine Festival , scheduled from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 October in Trento at Palazzo Roccabruna-Enoteca Provinciale del Trentino which will offer more than 50 labels of wines nominated for the Müller Thurgau International Wine Competition. On Friday 16 October, from 6.00 pm , a special aperitif is scheduled in the cellar, on the hills of Martignano di Trento , with Coralli and Bollicine to get to know each other and share experiences in front of a glass of Trentodoc through the Gioco dei Coralli, a card game born from the meeting of eight Trentino women. Saturday, October 17, the protagonist returns with Caneve en festa , an itinerant dinner, with staggered departure between 4 and 7.30 pm, through the streets of the village of Cembra Lisignago to discover local flavors and knowledge.

4th weekend

Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October , starting from 6.00 pm , we move to Valsugana, precisely to Roncegno Terme , for an aperitif with autumn with tastings of local products between delicious preparations - also based on chestnuts - prepared by a chef and paired with cold cuts, cheeses and wines from the area. Alternatively, you can choose to participate in the Sagra della Ciuìga di San Lorenzo Dorsino , where this particular Slow Food Presidium cured meat will be celebrated, obtained from the encounter between pork and white turnip in the setting of one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy" , including a typical market dedicated to food and crafts, musical events and the possibility of tasting traditional dishes based on this specialty in partner restaurants.

5th weekend

In addition to the second appointment of the Ciuìga Festival , scheduled for Saturday 31 and Sunday 1 November , the last weekend of October gives an appointment to wine lovers with Reboro. Territorio & Passione , scheduled for Saturday 31 October in Valle dei Laghi : an event dedicated to this special wine, the result of a project shared between some local wineries, and a moment in which moments of in-depth analysis and special combinations in the cellar will be offered.

Every Saturday in October, from 9.30 onwards , Taste & Bike - Special Marzemino is also scheduled, a day to discover the most enogastronomic side of Vallagarina, between Rovereto, Mori, Isera and Nogaredo . The tour, which includes cooking workshop, lunch and various tastings, includes stops in different companies of the Trentino Wine and Flavors Road, which can be reached by e-bike or, if you prefer, by car independently.
DiVin Ottobre is part of the provincial wine events calendar called #trentinowinefest and is organized in collaboration with Consorzio La Trentina, present with its apples in some of the proposed initiatives and with the support of the Community of the Cembra Valley.
