Festival "Le X Giornate" and "The Boxer and Victory", timeless art and culture in Brescia
From 14 to 23 September, the “Le X Giornate” Festival returns to Brescia, ten days of great events in the name of contamination between arts, knowledge and languages. Great exponents of the Italian cultural panorama take you on a multidisciplinary, multiform and polyphonic journey (this year dedicated in particular to young people), which combines fruition and reflection. Also in the city, there are also interesting events, exhibitions and shows from the rich schedule of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023.
These include the "spearhead" exhibition project of the second semester, i.e. the extraordinary exhibition Il Pugile e la Vittoria , which can be visited until 29 October at the Brixia Archaeological Park, a Unesco site: two exceptional bronzes protagonists of recent enhancements and epochal restorations of the Hellenistic age ( The Resting Boxer from Rome) and Rome (the Winged Victory from Brescia) together for the first time, in an evocative site-specific artistic installation by the Spanish master Juan Navarro Baldeweg , in which the metaphorical dialogue on the meaning of "victory" it brings us back to the universal upward tension, be it the sporting goal or the newfound peace.
Franciacorta Festival in the Cellar
Now in its fourteenth edition, the Franciacorta in Cantina Festival , scheduled for the weekend of 16-17 September, reconfirms itself as a unique opportunity to discover and rediscover the magnificent territory where Franciacorta is born. By opening, the doors of the cellars – over 60 – give the public access not only to the secrets of an ancient and unique wine production in the world, but to a land of long traditions devoted not exclusively to wine, but also to gastronomy and hospitality very high level.
