Obtained from the careful renovation of the ancient noble palace of the Lantieri de Paratico family, it can be reached via a road that winds its way through long rows of vines. From its suggestive crenellated terrace you can enjoy a magnificent view of the amphitheater of the hills. Each of its 7 rooms is furnished with a unique style, with elegant furniture and attention to detail, and enjoys a splendid panorama.

A cuisine of land and lake

Corte Lantieri is also renowned for its restaurant , also open to those who are not staying at the farmhouse . The dishes reflect the Franciscan tradition , with inspiration from nearby Sebino, which offers delicate fish at the table. Great attention is paid to the use of seasonal vegetables and fruits and to local products. The tasty appetizers include cold cuts and cheeses, among which the Ret (the typical salami of Capriolo , protected by the De.Co. of Municipal Designation), the Salame Montisola, the Silter Camuno and the Selvino di Grotta, served with delicious jams and local honeys. For the summer, Chef Paolo Zanardi has developed new and fresh dishes, inspired as always by tradition. And so, on the menu where vegetables and aromas from the vegetable garden always have a prominent place, here is Sebino dried sardine with roasted polenta, Trout tartare Salmon dill with green apple and sour cream, Risotto with Franciacorta Millecream creamed robiola due latti, Casoncelli della Corte with foamy butter and sage, boneless and stuffed rabbit thigh with Brescian polenta, traditional Rovato beef with extra virgin olive oil, tarts, semifreddo, spoon desserts that can be enjoyed on the terraces overlooking on the vineyards or in the fascinating setting of the ancient rooms with high ceilings and large spaces, which allow the tables to be placed very far apart . Each dish, presented with care and refinement, is accompanied by the fine Franciacorta DOCG and DOC wines from Cantina Lantieri.

Visits and tastings in the cellar where the world champion Franciacorta is produced

On the estate, next to the farm, all to visit are the cellars , where guided tastings are organized . Moving from the historical part, where the bottles rest in the penumbra under the seventeenth-century faces, to the modern one where the stages of winemaking take place according to the most advanced technologies, you discover how the precious Franciacorta wines are born, produced exclusively through the use of grapes harvested manually in the vineyards owned by the company, which extend partly around the cellar and partly on the slopes of Monte Alto. Wines that stand out for their freshness and minerality and express the aromas and fleshiness of the fruit in its integrity. Their best representation is the Franciacorta Cuvée Brut NV Lantieri , which won the World Champion title in the Classic Brut Non-Vintage Blend category at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championship 2019 (CSWWC), the prestigious competition created by Tom Stevenson, maximum world expert in Champagne and Sparkling wines.

A bit of history

The Lantieri de Paratico , noble and ancient Brescian family, have Franciacort roots that date back more than a thousand years ago , given that the first certain date that documents them dates back to the year 930 AD. C.

Illustrious ancestors adorn their family tree, from a Blessed Lucia Lantieri to a scholar of military tactics to finally reach the famous engineer and mathematician Giacomo Lantieri who spent a life so adventurous as to inspire even a book: Your humble and most devoted servant (History of James Lantieri, Bonanno Editore, 1994). The noble suffix "de Paratico" signifies their previous settlement in the homonymous town in the province of Brescia, on the border with Lake Iseo, in Franciacorta. Here, the Lantieri built in the eleventh century. their magnificent castle . The story goes that the exile Dante Alighieri was hosted there who, inspired by the landscape, would have written some verses of the Cantica del Purgatorio.

In the sixteenth century the family moved to Capriolo, where the winemaking tradition was perpetuated and the company is now based. The Lantieri stood out for the production of wines as early as the 16th century ; suppliers were then appreciated at the court of the Gonzaga Lords of Mantua, and at the courts of Ferrara and Milan, with the "Rubino di Corte Franca", a forerunner of current wines.
