Tourism, with its ability to transmit the culture of a territory, as well as being an important voice of the Italian economy, is one of the fundamental resources on which to focus for the post-pandemic restart. This is one of the main themes of the third edition of Rosso Morellino , the event scheduled for Monday 17 May starting at 10 am . The event, organized by the Consortium for the Protection of Morellino di Scansano DOCG , this year will move from the medieval village to the web and will be an opportunity to illustrate a project linked to the tourist vocation of this territory, the result of the synergy between different partners.
" We are fortunate to live in one of the most uncontaminated areas not only in Tuscany, but in the whole country. The naturalistic context in which Morellino di Scansano is grown is undoubtedly still, and fortunately, intact and almost wild in many of its aspects ". - Says Bernardo Guicciardini Calamai , president of the Consortium. - " A naturalistic landscape that blends sea, woods, hills and mountains in a unique biodiversity to be preserved and which today represents a perfect tourist destination. In fact, more and more people are looking for a destination for their holidays where they can regenerate their body and spirit, coming into direct contact with nature to seek not only fun, but also peace and relaxation. This is why we have decided to dedicate this edition of Rosso Morellino to the importance of sustainable tourism, trying to look to the future in a positive way, certain that this sector will be fundamental in the next restart ".
" We strongly wanted this edition which, even if in a digital version, we hope will, as always, represent an opportunity for in-depth study for operators in the sector and beyond" . - explains Alessio Durazzi , director of the Consortium - " It will be a moment of discussion on the themes of tourism and sustainability obviously linked to Morellino di Scansano, during which we will be able to illustrate in detail a new project we particularly care about, which will see its its debut on May 17. This is a very important initiative that fits perfectly with the issues of the Green Economy that we have recently consolidated thanks to the agreement signed with Enel X on the circular economy " .
In addition to the Consortium, creator and main promoter, the project will be presented by leading partners such as Terme di Saturnia , Enel X , Parco della Maremma , MTV Toscana , BMC Switzerland , Saturnia Bike and Coravin . The event will also see the participation of Professor Josep Ejarque , an internationally renowned expert in Destination & Management Marketing, who will talk about how fundamental the role of wine tourism is for the creation of a tourist destination.
