Hospitality – The Hospitality Show announces the first innovations for its 51st edition, scheduled for Riva del Garda from February 1 to 4, 2027.

The 51st edition of the Salone dell'Accoglienza showcases trends in the HoReCa sector. Outdoor hospitality is gaining increasing attention with the second edition of the Best Camping Village Awards, the prize dedicated to excellence in campsites, tourist villages, and glamping.

Riva del Garda is preparing to host the 51st edition of Hospitality – The Hospitality Exhibition from February 1 to 4, 2027. Organized by Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, the trade show represents an important meeting point in Italy for the HoReCa sector, connecting Italian and international professionals and companies. For four days, the exhibition center will offer a comprehensive overview of hospitality products, services, technologies, and solutions, complementing the exhibition offerings with a rich program of training, networking, and discussions on key market trends.

Hospitality thus strengthens its role as a strategic platform for the entire hospitality industry, supporting operators in a constantly evolving sector. Its positioning is further strengthened by the renewal of its status as an International Event and the numerous registered Italian and international companies, which outline some of the trends that will characterize the 51st edition. Among the most dynamic sectors , Contract & Wellness stands out, confirming the HoReCa sector's growing focus on space design, wellness, and the quality of the guest experience. This trend reflects a now consolidated evolution internationally: according to the Global Wellness Institute , the wellness economy will exceed $6.8 trillion in 2024 and is expected to reach $9.8 trillion by 2029. Within this scenario, wellness tourism remains one of the fastest-growing segments, with global spending reaching $894 billion in 2024.

The ongoing demand for wellness-focused experiences is transforming the way we design and experience hospitality facilities, which are increasingly required to integrate spaces dedicated to personal care, functional design solutions, and personalized services. This shift is leading the hospitality industry to transcend the traditional concept of hospitality, focusing on environments capable of generating value, comfort, and new stay experiences.

Open -air tourism will continue to be a central theme of the event, confirming its position as an increasingly dynamic segment of the Italian tourism industry. According to the latest economic survey by FAITA Federcamping , 2026 promises to be a year of further growth, building on the momentum seen in recent years, with Northern Italy's lakeside destinations—from Garda to Iseo to Lake Como—experiencing increased international demand.

In 2025, approximately 2,600 open-air businesses will have recorded over 11.2 million arrivals and nearly 74 million overnight stays , thanks to an offering of 1.3 million beds per day , generating a turnover of over 8 billion euros between direct and indirect revenues. Within this scenario, glamping is growing, one of the most significant evolutions in outdoor hospitality: a model that combines contact with nature with comfort, quality services, and personalized experiences. According to the report "Glamping Market Size & Trends, 2025," the global glamping market reached an estimated value of $3.79 billion in 2025 and could exceed $7.8 billion by 2033, with average annual growth close to 9.5%. This trend reflects changing traveler expectations and the growing focus on more experiential, sustainable, and locally integrated stay options.

In this context, Hospitality and FAITA Federcamping, reference partners for the representation and promotion of corporate culture in this hospitality segment, confirm and renew their partnership within the Outdoor Boom , an exhibition area dedicated to open-air hospitality.

"The interest we're already seeing in this initial phase leading up to the 2027 edition is a significant sign, confirming companies' confidence in Hospitality and the strategic role the event plays for the entire HoReCa industry," says Alessandra Albarelli, General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi . "In a constantly evolving market, our goal is to offer operators not only a space for meeting and doing business, but also concrete opportunities for discussion, learning, and inspiration, capable of accompanying the evolution of the sector. In this scenario, open-air hospitality represents one of the most dynamic and innovative sectors of contemporary tourism. Through initiatives like the Best Camping Village Awards, we want to highlight the facilities that are helping to redefine outdoor hospitality models by rewarding projects that combine quality of service, accessibility, sustainability, and an increasingly personalized focus on the guest experience."

Further strengthening the event's focus on this segment, the Best Camping Village Awards returns, the contest created by Teamwork and Hospitality to reward facilities that stand out for their quality, innovative capacity, and ability to effectively interpret the new needs of outdoor tourism.

Following the success of the first edition, the award—sponsored by FAITA Federcamping—is growing and expanding, bringing the total number of categories to ten. In addition to the awards for Hospitality and Service , Glamping Experience , Relaxation & Wellness Experience , Entertainment Program , Accessible Hospitality , Sports & Outdoor Offering , Sustainability and Services Program, and Common Areas and Spaces , two new categories have been added: Territorial Identity , reserved for establishments that enhance local heritage through authentic experiences, and Pet-Friendly Hospitality , dedicated to businesses that have developed services and solutions to welcome guests traveling with their pets. Applications are free and open to Italian and international campsites, tourist villages, and glamping sites based in Italy until October 30, 2026.

Each facility can compete in up to three categories. Judging will be done by a panel of experts , composed of tourism professionals with specific expertise in outdoor hospitality. The panel includes, among others, Mauro Santinato, President of Teamwork, and Alessandra Albarelli, General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. The panel will consider not only the quality of services and facilities, but also the camping village's ability to offer a distinctive, innovative, and consistent experience. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, February 3, 2027, in the Sala Garda of the Riva del Garda Congress Center, as part of the Hospitality program.

"Outdoor hospitality represents one of the most vibrant segments of contemporary tourism. For Hospitality, this means continuing to develop content and initiatives dedicated to a rapidly evolving sector, such as Outdoor Boom and the Best Camping Village Awards, which highlight the most innovative facilities and a new hospitality culture focused on quality, sustainability, and guest care," adds Giovanna Voltolini, Group Exhibition Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi .
