The award is promoted by the online newspaper All Food Sicily, an online newspaper specializing in food and wine and tourism, which gave the general public the opportunity to express their preferences and elect - through a friendly "competition" - the personalities of the year of some of the most significant sectors of the food and wine world.
On March 6th from 10 am , in Palermo , in the prestigious Yellow Hall of Palazzo dei Normanni , the ceremony will take place where awards will be given to men and women who, over the years, in various sectors of regional food and wine, have distinguished themselves for their their work and have managed to raise the name of Sicily, now recognized as a land of excellence.
In addition to the winners of the survey, the editorial staff, taking into account the professional recognitions obtained during the year, wanted to reward other interpreters of gastronomic and wine production who will be revealed during the awards ceremony, which will thus see as protagonists over 40 producers, interpreters of some of the most important Sicilian excellences.
The award immediately recorded wide participation and support, demonstrating the vast and qualified interest that the world of food arouses today, and the fundamental role it plays in building the Sicily Brand as the first region in Europe in the food and wine and agri-food fields .
The event is part of supporting the initiatives of the recent recognition " European Region of Gastronomy 2025 ", awarded to Sicily by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (Igcat), a European region that has managed to distinguish itself in awareness-raising activities on cultural and food uniqueness, stimulating creativity and gastronomic innovation.
