The Regional Committe of Veneto (Giunta Veneta) will help to promote local grape varieties

The Regional Committe of Veneto has approved the draft of an interesting project "Characterization wine production Typical activities to support quality viticulture by valuing the viticultural techniques and grape varieties in orographic areas difficult."

The project actions in favor of autochthonous

-Continued activity enhancement heritage varieties for the production of DOC wines;

-Activities aimed at spreading the vegetative material suitable for the production of quality;

-Evolution of the concept of winter pruning

-Influence on product quality and health of the vineyard;

-Checking the organoleptic characteristics of resistant varieties in comparison of quality products;

-Activities aimed at the analysis of the problems of cultivation of certain native varieties in sensitive environments from the point of view of anthropological geomorphological and behavior in environments orographic particularly difficult (case study Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG).



It will be the Company Veneto Agriculture to manage and implement the project with the collaboration of the Research Centre for Viticulture Cra-Vit and the Regional Association vine growers and consortia.

Have been invested over 130 thousand euro in favor of Veneto Agriculture following the signing of a specific agreement.
