A journey in the Italy of the native wine along with the most precious guardians of this heritage: the small producers, true ambassadors of the uniqueness of our territory. This is the essence of "Autochtona", the usual autumn event of the Bolzano Trade Fair scheduled for October 19th and 20th in conjunction with Hotel, international trade fair for hotellerie and gastronomy.

A native variety of reference in the South Tyrolean tradition, Schiava was the protagonist of the evening preview of the twelfth edition of the event, which was held on Tuesday, July 21st, at the Dream Factory in Milan along with a pen of reference of food and wine culture of South Tyrol and not only, the journalist Angelo Carrillo.

The labels of Schiava tasted during the event – provided by the Alto Adige Wines Consortium and that accompanied the menu based on South Tyrol specialties prepared by the Kaiserhof School of Meran – have been the perfect backdrop to tell the spirit of the upcoming edition of the next edition of "Autochtona".

«Schiava is the wine that represents in the most authentic way the tradition, the history and the culture of the southern Tyrol – Carrillo explained – since it has a very close relationship with the daily rituals of the life in South Tyrol. It is a everyday wine and its preservation and enhancement is definitely one of the objectives of the South Tyrolean wine production in the coming years».

The two–day in Bolzano, organized in collaboration with AIS (Italian Sommelier Association), has now become a unique landmark to get to know many small companies and their interpreters. A great job of enhancing and safeguarding, told through the wines and the testimony of more than 100 realities of excellence, often small artisans who guard rare or forgotten grape varieties.

«The indigenous heritage is crucial – Carrillo underlined during the event in Milan – and represents that difference that makes us different than other countries, emphasizing its uniqueness. To play a key role in the preservation of this heritage there are small producers, who are the ambassadors and the true custodians of this land».

On 19th and 20th October, the appointment for companies, consortia and professionals is in Fiera Bolzano with "Autochtona" 2015, the perfect opportunity to learn about, promote and enhance the Italian native productions.
