The monocultivaroliveoil.Expo and monocultivaroliveoil.Bio competitions awarded the excellence of 27 outstanding Italian oils; Leone Sabino from Puglia won the "Best of the World 2015" award
The monocultivaroliveoil.Expo and monocultivaroliveoil.Bio competitions select the best oils, conventional and organis, from monocultivar olives, produced in the world. In 2015 it was attended by seven countries: Italy, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal and Turkey.
Italy obtained the highest number of awards. Here are the numbers of the Gold medals:
Italy: 27, Spain: 17, Turkey: 4, Greece: 3, Croatia: 1, Slovenia: 1 and Portugal: 1.
The "Best of the World 2015" award (conventional) went to the Coratina S. Gioacchino of Leone Sabino, Puglia, the "Best Scent 2015" (conventional) went to the Cima di Mola of the Intini company, Puglia.
