The word is rendered with a graphic power that transforms it into an iconic signature. In a market crowded with holographic symbolism, Bonamini chooses the opposite approach: placing his surname, and all the responsibility it entails, at the center of everything. The typeface chosen for the wordmark is OptiColumna Solid , inspired by the stone inscriptions of ancient Rome, recalling the original settlements of the area. Sculpted and structured forms convey historicity and authority. The three-dimensional rendering with a relief effect is itself a further statement of historical depth, even before being graphic.
Balancing this classical monumentality is the secondary font Verlag-Book , a modern and essential sans-serif, chosen for the tagline "FRANTOIO dal 1965." A date that is a promise. The breath of the present meets the strength of history, the voice of those who have never stopped doing the same things with passion and who today narrate them with the clarity and strength they deserve. The contrast between the two typefaces is strongly narrative, past and future coexisting effectively in the same sign.
The new logo's color palette is a direct tribute to the landscape : the refined olive green of the olive tree canopies and the Veronese hills is the dominant tone, while the gold accent of the letter "O" symbolizes the fruit of the olive, the preciousness of extra virgin olive oil, and the sun shining on the Illasi Valley. The logo is extremely versatile and maintains its strength in every application.
"Sixty years ago, my father began producing oil with the same care we do today. This new logo doesn't change who we are: it finally expresses who we have become and where we are headed, with the clarity and strength we want to communicate to everyone. The Bonamini name is our oldest guarantee, our most ambitious project, and the thing we love most." - Giancarlo Bonamini, owner and master olive grower of Frantoio Bonamini
Strategy: growth, recognition and international markets
The rebranding is part of a new phase of growth for Frantoio Bonamini. In recent years, the company has significantly expanded its presence in foreign markets. Exports now represent a growing share of its revenue, with active distribution in Europe, North America, and Asia. It has also renewed and expanded its product range, most recently with the premium Primilia line by Giancarlo Bonamini Olivocultore, and in 2026 with the launch of a new natural cosmetics line , which brings the active ingredients of extra virgin olive oil from the table to personal care.
A new logo was necessary to support the positioning of quality and excellence that the product today occupies on national and international shelves.
The visual identity system was designed to be comprehensive and scalable: positive version on white, negative version on black, monochromatic version on olive green, each calibrated to function with the same authority across different application contexts. From letterhead to e-commerce, from the monocultivar label to company vans and staff T-shirts: every touchpoint of the brand now speaks the same language.
The graphic design was developed by the Terzomillennium agency, with a research process that involved the entire Bonamini family to distill sixty years of history, olive-growing knowledge and entrepreneurial direction into a graphic sign.
Bonamini Oil Mill: in Val d'Illasi since 1965
From the Illasi Valley (Verona), a unique olive-growing region, Frantoio Bonamini has been producing extra virgin olive oil since 1965 , embodying the unmistakable character of its landscape and tradition. Led by Giancarlo Bonamini and his wife Sabrina Sartorari, the mill now produces approximately 280,000 bottles a year , distributed throughout Italy and abroad. Its product line ranges from organic to its flagship Vert de Vertes and Or de Noires lines, and even the Veneto Valpolicella DOP, obtained from the native Grignano and Favarol cultivars.
Promoting the local area and environmental sustainability are at the heart of everything the mill does. This constant commitment has also translated into a concrete gesture towards the entire supply chain: in 1996, Bonamini was among the founders of the Consortium for the Protection of Veneto DOP Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Over the years, Frantoio Bonamini has received numerous national and international awards , confirming its role as an ambassador for high-quality Italian extra virgin olive oil around the world.
