Ristorante Albatros

Between the charming landscape of the lush Maremma pine forest and the beach of Principina a Mare, you will find a welcoming venue surrounded by the green, in which you can taste typical dishes, essentially homemade, mostly based on fish and seafood, directly and carefully prepared by Mr. Pasquale Fariello, as owner–manager of ALBATROS Bar–Restaurant and cook of thirty–year experience.

Osteria Sapori Di Maremma

Osteria Sapori di Maremma is situated in full historic center in Castiglione della Pescaia, a small town at the sea whose origins date back to the Roman period, as testified by the ruins that you find everywhere.

The venue can host 38 people in the inner rooms, and 12 outside surrounded by a charming atmosphere created by the lanes of the historic center that from the main street lead to the castle.


The environment, comfortable and with Tuscan references, is decorated with old prints depicting the hard work of the buttero dealing with the marking of animals, the taming of horses, and wonderful views of Maremma. Other prints represent the Castigione village from the beginning of 1900 to the 50s, completed with all its beauties. Moreover, there are sought–after pictures and objects: a window painted by a young artist from Maremma illustrating a very beautiful glimpse on the port seen from the castle, a collection of very rare grappas of Romano Levi, pertaining to Elio Galgani, owner of the inn.


The restaurant is present on the territory since 2003, precisely since 3rd January, the date of its opening. To look after and manage the inn wisely there is the owner, Elio Galgani, an expert sommelier as well as a manager, who has been running this venue with passion for almost a decade.

Osteria Girarrosto L'Orco

In the heart of Dell’Uccellina Park, a few kilometers south of Grosseto, Ristorante Trattoria Osteria dell’Orco is located, a unique place where to taste the typical dishes of the Tuscan Maremma area.


Our speciality is cooking on wood embers. Giorgio, owner and “bracista”, chooses with care the best meats and the freshly cought fish. No sooner you enter the veranda you see immediately the huge brazier where the owner (Orco) prepares grilled meat and fish. The characteristic that attracts Italian and foreign customers is the very good meat chosen directly by the owner. The restaurant has had also some enthusiastic reviews on American websites.

Orco offers his friends who seat at his tables, within the venue or under the veranda, the result of a simple and at the same time difficult way of cooking, to be well done. The speciality of the venue is the Fiorentina Steak. All is accompanied by the wines of the place and by homemade pasta dishes and desserts. Starting from May 2009 who wants to stop for a break or have breakfast finds a new area dedicated to the bar, where you can taste the typical Maremma sandwiches based on salami and pork roast.


Back the venue there is a wide car park, where also some campers can be placed.

La Cantina Di Poggio Caiano

You will find our restaurant nestled in one of the most cosy and picturesque corners of Campagnatico, a medieval village. This village, on a high outcrop in the Maremma hills (15 km from Grosseto towards Siena) boasts a citation by Dante in his Divine Comedy (Purgatory, XI 64-67), proof of it's importance during Dante's time.
In the peace of our simple but refined family restaurant you can try Tuscan, and particularly Maremma specialties to your heart's content.
We start our meals with hams, salami and "crostini" (toasted bread with various sauces and spreads on top), followed by a first course, perhaps "tortelli di ricotta" (freshly made ricotta cheese and spinach ravioli) or home made pasta, "acqua cotta" (literally "cooked water") a vegetable soup, and other seasonal dishes.
Our speciality is "Bistecca alla Fiorentina", a Florentine steak, which attracts gourmands from far and wide. We also serve various roast meats, grilled lamb, suckling pig, braised boar and rabbit. With this, local wines of which we are very proud: Montecucco (our local DOC), Morellino, Brunello and Chianti.
Finally, the desserts too are made in our kitchens: cantucci (hard biscuits to be dunked in Vin Santo, fortified wine) and cakes made to local recipes.

Trattoria Da Santarino

Da Santarino is a historic tavern specialized in fish dishes, situated in the center of Follonica, in front of the covered market.

We cook rigorously local fish, with family recipes and home cooking.


The environment has remained unchanged since the 60s, preserving the typical atmosphere of that period, but soon a nice novelty will come: one of the two rooms will be renovated in a modern way.


We offer typical tuscan cuisine, according to the local tradition, with a special attention to seafood dishes, our specialities. We have local fish always fresh, daily caught.

We offer an extensive wine list with Tuscan and national wines.

Trattoria Il Giogo

Situated near the Medici walls surrounding the historic center of the town, Trattoria il Giogo, a small restaurant, has 30 seats.

It offers simple menus, thought especially for customers that for working reasons have to eat out, with scarce time at their disposal, but with the willingness not to give the quality of food up. In the evening you can book: group dinners, parties and business dinners.

Ristorante La Lanterna

La Lanterna Restaurant Pizzeria, run since 1959 by the Ardiccioni family, has been the first pizzeria in Maremma and even today its pizzas, baked in wood oven according to the tradition, are the most sought–after and well renowed in the area.

The kitchen, both of meat and fish, is based on typical and genuine ingredients and keeps an excellent value for money.

In a family and traditional environment it is possible to taste typical dishes of the area, such as the famous Spaghetti al Cartoccio that, already in 1974, won the “Il Gazzettino” prize announced by contributors.

The restaurant is open also at lunchtime.

Another characteristic of the venue is the opportunity, in summertime, to eat in the fresh veranda.

Osteria La Nuova Dispensa

La Nuova Dispensa restaurant–inn offers its guests specialities of Tuscany and delicacies of the local gastronomic tradition, such as salami and mixed cold cuts, meats of the highest quality braised or grilled.
