In the heart of Dell’Uccellina Park, a few kilometers south of Grosseto, Ristorante Trattoria Osteria dell’Orco is located, a unique place where to taste the typical dishes of the Tuscan Maremma area.
Our speciality is cooking on wood embers. Giorgio, owner and “bracista”, chooses with care the best meats and the freshly cought fish. No sooner you enter the veranda you see immediately the huge brazier where the owner (Orco) prepares grilled meat and fish. The characteristic that attracts Italian and foreign customers is the very good meat chosen directly by the owner. The restaurant has had also some enthusiastic reviews on American websites.
Orco offers his friends who seat at his tables, within the venue or under the veranda, the result of a simple and at the same time difficult way of cooking, to be well done. The speciality of the venue is the Fiorentina Steak. All is accompanied by the wines of the place and by homemade pasta dishes and desserts. Starting from May 2009 who wants to stop for a break or have breakfast finds a new area dedicated to the bar, where you can taste the typical Maremma sandwiches based on salami and pork roast.
Back the venue there is a wide car park, where also some campers can be placed.
