Wine Tasting „Wine & Garden“ Friday 30.06.2023 from 18.00-22.00, Guest Cellars Vinea Wachau/ VDP Pfalz

On Friday 30 June the independent winemakers of South Tyrol invite lovers of the nectar of Bacchus to a special walk in the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano: from 6 pm onwards, winemakers from South Tyrol, Wachau and Pfalz (Palatinate) will present for the first time their wines together. The "Wine & Garden" event will represent the culminating moment of the meeting organized by the Association of Independent Winegrowers of South Tyrol (FWS) with colleagues from Austria and Germany.

There will be no less than 46 winegrowers taking part in the “Wine & Garden” event, a special wine tasting which will take place on Friday 30 June in the gardens of Castel Trauttmansdorff in Merano. In addition to 24 South Tyrolean winemakers, 10 colleagues from Pfalz and 12 other wineries from Wachau will be presenting a selection of their wines. From 6 pm onwards, the tasting stands, arranged in niches along the paths of the gardens, will be available to all visitors.

For admission to the Gardens after 6 pm, the evening ticket costs 9 euros; for visitors the tasting is free and will go on until 10pm. In case of bad weather the tasting will be moved to the Touriseum museum of the adjacent castle, and this allows the event to be confirmed regardless of the weather conditions.
