TASTE ALTO PIEMONTE ARRIVES IN SICILY: SEE YOU IN GIARDINI NAXOS ON OCTOBER 25TH AND 26TH

There is now very little time left until the appointment with Taste Alto Piemonte Sicilia , the event promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte in collaboration with AIS Sicilia which, on 25 and 26 October , will bring Taste Alto Piemonte to the prestigious setting of the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Giardini Naxos , in collaboration with AIS Sicilia .

After years of visits to cities like Novara, Stresa, Milan, Rome, and Naples, the event dedicated to the excellent wines of Alto Piemonte is coming to Sicily for the first time. The aim is to introduce industry professionals, operators, the press, and wine enthusiasts to the winemaking heritage of one of Piedmont's most renowned regions.

"Through events like Taste Alto Piemonte, we have the opportunity to showcase the wide variety of our appellations and highlight the characteristics that make this region unique: from the volcanic soils to the native grape varieties, to the work of the wineries that contribute every day to building the value of our products. Our presence in Taormina represents an important opportunity to consolidate relationships, develop new opportunities, and increase Alto Piemonte's reputation among wine professionals and enthusiasts."

We want to showcase the identity, history, and extraordinary richness of our denominations, showcasing a region that has garnered increasing attention from critics and consumers in recent years."

Over the course of the two days, you can discover the diverse expressions of Nebbiolo and the other grape varieties that make up the Alto Piemonte appellations through over 100 wines for tasting . Eighteen producers will be present at the tasting tables: Antoniolo, Barbaglia Silvia, Cantina La Smeralda, Cantina Comero, Cantine Garrone, Carlone Davide, Castaldi Francesca, Delsignore, Enrico Crola, Ioppa, Mazzoni, Pietraforata Cantine in Ghemme, Platinetti Guido, Podere ai Valloni, Rovellotti Viticoltori in Ghemme, Tenute Sella 1671, Torraccia del Piantavigna, and Travaglini. The Consortium's institutional stand will also be present, offering a selection of wines from Antoniotti Odilio, Boniperti Gilberto, Ca' Nova, Colombera & Garella, I Dof Mati Viticultrici, Neri, Tenute Guardasole, and Vigneti Costacurta.

The main wine regions will be showcased at the event: Boca DOC, Bramaterra DOC, Colline Novaresi DOC, Coste della Sesia DOC, Fara DOC, Gattinara DOCG, Ghemme DOCG, Lessona DOC, Sizzano DOC, and Valli Ossolane DOC . These diverse and complementary expressions of an area characterized by volcanic and morainic soils, significant temperature variations, and a long winemaking tradition.

In addition to the tasting tables, the program includes two guided in-depth sessions with the "Excursus Alto Piemonte" masterclass, dedicated to discovering the denominations and the different interpretations of Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte. On Sunday, October 25th, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm , the tasting will be led by Mauro Carosso , Head of Training for AIS Italy and President of AIS Piedmont, together with Gioele Micali , Head of Events for AIS Sicily and Delegate for AIS Taormina. On Monday, October 26th, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm , Ennio Campieri , Alto Piemonte representative for the AIS Verbania Delegation, and Mariagrazia Barbagallo , Vice President of AIS Sicily and Delegate for AIS Catania, will guide the discovery of this wonderful territory.
