Wine and oil show open to the public on June 15th in Sannicandro: how to participate

The events in presence are back with the Exhibition of wines and oils of Southern Italy which will take place on Tuesday 15 June 2021 from 15 to 21 at the Norman Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari (BA). The event on June 15 will be the final moment of the XVI edition of the Radici del Sud event (June 10-15), the only one open to the public , where over 100 companies (here the list) will present their range of products. For the first time there will also be producers from Sardinia, Abruzzo and Molise , together with those from Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania and Sicily already present in previous editions.

On the other hand, over 150 companies (click here) that have so far joined the Competition and the B2B meetings scheduled for 13 and 14 June, again as part of the event.

The Norman Swabian Castle of Sannicandro di Bari has undergone a careful restoration in recent months and today is the appropriate location to carry out events in safety , thanks to the large spaces it has. Here the producers of the cellars and oil mills will tell firsthand about their work and the territory.

The two days of the Competition, in which over 350 wines from all over Southern Italy will be tested, will be reserved for journalists, influencers and wine experts, divided into two juries ( here the list of jurors ), one national and one international, guided by 4 Italian presidents: Andrea Terraneo (President Vinarius), Francesco Muci (Slow Wine), Luciano Pignataro (Lucianopignatarowineblog) and Maurizio Valeriani (Vinodabere) who will highlight the most identifying characteristics of the native vines. During the same days, the meetings between wine producers and importers from Europe and the United States, who can arrive in Italy without carrying out quarantine, will be held in the Scuderie room, completely renovated.

The announcement conference of the winners of the Competition will be on Tuesday 15 June at 11.00 in the courtyard of the Castle, in the presence of the Presidents of the Jury and all national and international guests. The review, sponsored by the Regional Council and the Agriculture Department of the Puglia Region and by the Municipality of Sannicandro di Bari, will be held in full compliance with the anti Covid measures in force. Admissions will be limited and limited in three time slots: from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm and from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm.

Due to the anti-covid regulations, the entrances will be limited in number and it will not be possible to accept reservations without purchasing the ticket, as to ensure the safe conduct of the event, entrances will be limited in three time slots (15.00-17.00 / 17.00 -19.00 / 19.00 - 21.00). Alternatively, it will be possible to access the Exhibition subject to availability, only in the free time slots.
