Trentino, from 7 to 10 September the event dedicated to Marzemino and the territory

From pedaling through the vineyards to the stage tour on a road train, from the walk through the historic courtyards of the center to the dawn concert dedicated to the great rock festivals, up to the appointments at the castle and film screenings. All this, accompanied by the inevitable tastings of Marzemino, also the protagonist of spectacular verticals, themed dinners and curious combinations. Also on the program is the first edition of the “Isera con gusto” award.

The 22nd edition of "La Vigna Eccellente...and it's immediately Isera" was presented this morning at a press conference, an event organized by the Municipality of Isera, City of Wine, with the support of Trentino Marketing, the coordination of the Strada del Vino e dei Sapori of Trentino as part of the promotion of the provincial wine events called #trentinowinefest and the collaboration of the APT Rovereto Vallagarina and Monte Baldo .

An event which, as underlined by Sergio Valentini, Delegate for Tourism of the Municipality of Isera , presents a series of initiatives that enhance Marzemino and its vineyards, but also the local food system, the territory and the landscape, through the travel formula , whether on foot, by bike or by train, but also virtually, to discover the history of this vine and the characteristics of the wine that comes from it.

The start is Thursday 7 September , starting from 9.30, with "Taste&Bike, the excellent Marzemino ", a proposal organized by the Trentino Wine and Flavor Route to be experienced on a bicycle, to discover the wonders of the area and a series of agricultural companies, with a final stop at a local restaurant. At 5.30pm the appointment is at the Azienda Agricola De Tarczal, with a vertical display of Marzemino Husar, which also includes labels over 20 years old, while at 8.00pm the curious Georgian dinner returns, in homage to the geographical origins of Marzemino, prepared by Locanda delle Tre Chiavi di Isera, including kinkali, kachapuri , badrigiani , soko kecze and many other specialties.

Friday 8 September opens at 5.00 pm at Palazzo De Probizer with an in-depth meeting conducted by the journalist Carlo Cambi entitled “Returning to the vineyard: the future needs strong roots”, while at 7.00 pm, the appointment is with good food, with Fish & Marzemino dinner.

On Saturday 9 September , from 9.30am to 6.00pm, five Wine Trains will be scheduled on board a road train: a unique and original way to discover the hamlets of Isera and its production, with three stops at as many farms for wine tasting and local products. From 10.00 to 20.00 there will be space for culture at Castel Predaglia in Cornalè, where the Lagarina Association of Ancient History, the Sala d'Arme A. Marozzo and the Compagnia della Stella will stage stories and tales of the past.

From 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, at the municipal vineyard in Via Vannetti there will be an activity dedicated to the little ones , who will be able to try their hand at the art of grape harvesting , while at 6.30 pm Palazzo De Probizer will host "Il Marzemino della Vallagarina", an ONAV tasting of 8 very particular wines obtained with unusual procedures, including drying, bloodletting, aging, over-ripening.

Finally, at 9.00 pm, in the courtyard of Palazzo Fedrigotti, an appointment in collaboration with RAM Rassegna Museo Archeologico and Film Festival of the mountains, as part of CinemAMore 2023, with the viewing of two films themed on Agriculture and Biodiversity and the intervention of Alfio Ghezzi.

The program on Sunday 10 September begins at 6.00, at Lenzi di Isera, with the Flower Power concert at dawn , dedicated to the great Rock Festivals, by the Caronte group. At the end, a delicious Trentino breakfast based on bread, butter and Marzemino grape jam. At 9.00 the " Great walk to discover Isera alta " begins, a guided trek with a guide from breakfast to snack, among woods, castles, vineyards and farms.

At 3.30 pm it is time for " Among vineyards, courtyards and hidden buildings ", a guided tour of the historic center interspersed with tasty stops : at each stop, a Marzemino Superiore di Isera is tasted combined with a selection of gastronomic products curated by the producers of Isera with Taste.

At 6.00 pm, at Palazzo Fedrigotti, space for music with " Marzemino non solo Mozart ", a two-voice meeting involving the narrator Lorenzo Nichelatti, who is entrusted with the task of telling ten Marzemino tastings, and the musician Marco Graziola, who will accompany him with his accordion. Finally, at 7.00 pm, the big closing party in Piazza San Vincenzo, with music, polenta concia and wine organized by the Cantina d'Isera and the Alpini Group, accompanied by the DJ set by Ornella Frisinghelli.

An event perfectly in line with the strategy that our Department is pursuing – commented Giulia Zanotelli, Councilor for Agriculture of the Autonomous Province of Trento. An event that can certainly contribute to the development of the food and wine itinerary of Vallagarina, which has a lot of potential, as well as an opportunity to protect native wines and give them the right value ."

Furthermore, during the three days of the event, it will be possible to participate in Eat and Drink Marzemino , recipes and combinations proposed by the restaurateurs of Isera - Locanda delle Tre Chiavi, Casa del Vino, Vineria De Tarczal, Ristorante TO NY and Agriturismo Il Gallo - dedicated to this wine.

Among the most important news, the first edition of the “Isera con gusto” award , scheduled for Sunday at 4.30 pm at Palazzo De Probizer, organized in collaboration with Slow Food and awarded to a local company that operates in agricultural production, catering or in hospitality and which best embodies a series of values and virtuous practices, connected to social and environmental economy as well as to the link with the territory and with the local system of food and wine excellence. An idea born from the reflections that emerged during the meetings and idea workshops that have taken place in recent months, starting from the "Youth and Agriculture" forum organized during the last edition, which confirm the great cultural ferment that characterizes this community. The objective is to make Isera become a hub of thought on agriculture and tourism issues capable of giving value to the territory and also representing help and support to other realities that share the same vision.
