Tenuta Ferrata at Sicilia en Primeur 2025: Etna tells its story through culture, sustainability and vision.

The 21st edition of Sicilia en Primeur, the annual event organized by Assovini Sicilia that brings together the excellence of Sicilian wine under the banner of culture, sustainability and innovation, has concluded in Modica.

This year too, Tenuta Ferrata participated, bringing the volcanic soul of Etna to the heart of an event that celebrates wine as an identity and collective value.

Etna, with its heroic viticulture, was the absolute protagonist thanks to the vineyards of Contrada Moscamento, Fossa San Marco and Caristia , cultivated by hand on ancient terraces at over 650 meters above sea level. Tenuta Ferrata told its story through its new vintages , presented in the cellar to a small circle of national and international journalists and in Modica, during the technical tasting sessions, fully expressing the production philosophy based on respect, biodiversity and territorial roots.

Not just wine, but also art : each bottle of the Tenuta is a work signed by Sandra Virlinzi (Sdrina) , an ultra-pop artist who through her labels gives visual voice to the identity of Etna wine. “ Wine is culture ” – recalled Simona Virlinzi , spokesperson for the Tenuta – “ and for us, telling it through art is a natural gesture. Participating in Sicilia en Primeur means sharing our vision and our deep bond with the land ”.

During the days of the event, over 100 international journalists participated in experiential tours and high-level conferences, such as the one held at the Teatro Garibaldi in Modica, where conscious consumption, wine tourism and production protection were discussed. A clear message emerged: wine is much more than an agricultural product, it is memory, civilization and the future .

In the final walk-around tasting, hosted at Castello dei Conti, Tenuta Ferrata shared the stage with 56 other Sicilian wineries, offering an authentic taste of what Etna can offer: wines that speak of lava, sky, resilience and beauty.

Sicilia en Primeur 2025 was also an opportunity to preview the Tenuta's future projects: among these, the idea of widespread and immersive hospitality, art projects linked to the story of the territory, the creation of the cellar and the transformation of the historic nineteenth-century palmento into a museum and educational space, dedicated to hospitality and the cultural valorization of the territory. A further step towards an idea of wine that combines hospitality, education and sustainable tourism .
