The Milan edition of Taste Alto Piemonte, the event promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte, was well attended on Monday, March 9th at The Westin Palace Milan. The event attracted over 650 attendees, including industry professionals and enthusiasts, confirming the growing interest in the Alto Piemonte appellations and the vitality of a region increasingly present in the national wine debate.
" The participation recorded in Milan is a very important signal for our region," comments Andrea Fontana, president of the Consortium . "Taste Alto Piemonte was created with the aim of creating opportunities for direct meetings between producers, operators, and enthusiasts, offering tools to understand the complexity of our appellations. The large turnout and the attention shown by the public confirm how Alto Piemonte is arousing curiosity and interest among professionals and wine lovers ."
" The success of this Milan edition demonstrates how effective the Taste Alto Piemonte format is in describing our region in a direct and engaging way," emphasizes Lorella Zoppis , Vice President of the Consortium . "Precisely for this reason, we are already working to bring this project to other cities in the coming months, with the aim of further expanding the dialogue with professionals, sommeliers, and enthusiasts ."
Fundamental to the event's success was the collaboration with the Italian Sommelier Association of Milan, which attracted a significant attendance of sommeliers and industry professionals. The tasting tables of participating wineries offered the opportunity to discover the identity of the ten Alto Piemonte appellations—from Gattinara and Ghemme to Boca, Lessona, Bramaterra, Fara, Sizzano, and the Ossola Valleys, passing through the Colline Novaresi and Coste della Sesia. The two "Excursus Alto Piemonte" masterclasses, led by Altai Garin, supported by Ennio Camperi, guided participants through an in-depth exploration of the stylistic richness and longevity of the region's wines.
With over 650 attendees overall, Taste Alto Piemonte confirms its position as an important meeting and dissemination opportunity, strengthening the positioning of the Alto Piemonte denominations in the contemporary wine scene and consolidating relationships with the market and enthusiasts.
