The Monte Zovo collection is enriched with two new wines. With the Phasianus Corvina Rosato Verona Biological IGT and the Wohlgemuth Pinot Grigio delle Venezie Biological DOC the farm owned by the Cottini family increasingly expresses and enhances the wealth of the territory of the Caprino Veronese estate, where the Monte Zovo winery is located. From the organic vineyards of Corvina and Corvinone and Pinot Grigio , Phasianus and Wohlgemuth tell the story and peculiarities of the estate. The Latin name Phasianus refers to the pheasant, a tribute that Monte Zovo wanted to do to the biodiversity that populates its vineyards in the Morainic Amphitheater of Rivoli Veronese. The latter is present, like a bucolic picture, also on the label. The second novelty in the Monte Zovo house is inspired by the Forte di Rivoli, an Austrian fortress on the Italian border, formerly called Forte Wohlgemuth , in memory of the Austrian general who defended it in 1848. The Fort, framed by the Monte Zovo vineyards, is also represented label. "Our wines are the ambassadors of the eco-sustainable philosophy with which we take care of the territory - says Diego Cottini , owner with his wife Annalberta and his sons Michele and Mattia - Since 2018 they are completely organic. The vineyards are also converted to organic farming and certified for respect for biodiversity, in accordance with the Biodiversity Friend standard ". Phasianus and Wohlgemuth are part of Natural Inspirations . The collection drawn by Calinverno , symbol of the Caprino Veronese estate, is also composed of Oltremonte Sauvignon and Crocevento Pinot Nero. Produced from vineyards at an altitude of 250-300 meters with late harvest and without aging in wood, Phasianus has a color light salmon pink. With a delicate bouquet of small berries, it is pleasantly dry, fresh and with good persistence. Wohlghemuth , obtained from pure Pinot Grigio grapes in vines conducted between 250 and 400 meters above sea level, ferments partly in barriques and partly in steel. It shows an intense straw yellow color, limpid and consistent. The nose is reminiscent of ripe yellow fruit with pleasant sweet notes, of delicate spices such as vanilla and cotton candy. In the mouth it is dry and fresh, with a final note of almond. Phasianus and Wohlghemuth are also available in the new Monte Zovo e-commerce , as well as in the company wine shop. On the website www.montezovo.com you can find all Monte Zovo wines and the same promotions available at the store. Deliveries are expected throughout Italy, with shipping costs zeroed for purchases over € 70. 10,000 bottles are produced for both novelties. The sale price in the online shop is 15.50 euros for the Phasianus and 14.50 euros for the Wohlgemuth.
