Back to Cocconato d'Asti Cocco…Wine , one of the most delicious and popular food and wine events in Piedmont and this year in its twenty-second edition .

The Go Wine association promotes and organizes the event in agreement with the Municipality of Cocconato and with the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium.

The beauties of this municipality, north of Asti, will be enhanced in three days of celebration through tastings and insights, guests and music that will invade some squares of the historic center once again confirming the tourist vocation, the viticultural qualities and the enological ambitions of that which is historically defined as the "Riviera del Monferrato".

The event, which has recorded ever-increasing results in terms of public and exhibiting companies, represents an opportunity to enhance the viticulture of the Cocconato area and the typical products that are part of the heritage of these lands.

Friday 1 September, preview day:

6.30 pm: In-depth guided tasting dedicated to Cocconato's Barbera d'Asti Superiore 2021 and to the soils of this area of Monferrato reserved for the press and sector operators.

8.00 pm: Il Salotto di Cocconato The Salotto represents a moment dedicated to the table with the flavors and wines of the Cocconato cellars.

Each Cocconato winery will present Cocconato's Barbera d'Asti 2022 and a favorite wine in a special wine cellar. The wines can be paired with dishes designed for the occasion by Cocconato restaurateurs.

Saturday 2 September:

17:00: inaugural meeting of the exhibition 17:00 until 24:00 (tickets close at 23): Tasting counters , the historic center will host the tasting counter of the cellars of Cocconato, Monferrato and the Islands of wine. Alongside, you will find stands of typical local products and gastronomic points.

Sunday 4 September:

from 15:00 to 20:00: Tasting counters the historic center will host the tasting counter of the cellars of Cocconato, Monferrato and the wine islands. Alongside, you will find stands of typical local products and gastronomic points.

17:00: In-depth guided tasting dedicated to the Nebbiolo vine in the north-west of the Asti Monferrato area.

The protagonists

The Cocconato cellars, together with some guests, will enliven the tasting counter set up along the route that from piazza Giordano will cross piazza Cavour and wind along Via Roma: a route that evokes a virtual wine route, in which the tastings will be alternate the tastings of typical products.

In particular the Barbera d'Asti di Cocconato and Monferrato , together with the other wines for tasting, will accompany cheeses, cured meats and sweets, which well express the historical vocation for quality gastronomy of the area and its rich tradition of catering.

Two " Islands of Wine " will complete the tasting offer: the theme and protagonists in this edition will be "The wines of Liguria" and "a focus on the Glera variety and Prosecco wine".

How to book

Admission to the event is free with wine tasting for a fee: however, booking is recommended. Until August 28, there is a € 2.00 discount for those who purchase the ticket with the possibility of skipping the queue to collect the glass.

The routes in the vineyard are reserved for those who participate in the tasting counter.
