In Nizza Monferrato (Asti) from May 8th to 11th, over 70 producers, 400 labels, and an entire city celebrating with glasses, concerts, and new tasting experiences.
Nizza Monferrato is preparing to welcome a new edition of Nizza è Barbera , scheduled from 8 to 11 May , confirming itself as one of the most eagerly awaited events in the Piedmontese food and wine scene.
An event that over the years has grown, evolved, and attracted thousands of visitors, particularly young people and international audiences. This achievement demonstrates the ability to renew the wine narrative, embracing new languages and consumption styles, thanks in part to the collaborative efforts of producers and local businesses.
"Nizza è Barbera tells the story of a dynamic city, capable of renewing itself while remaining true to its identity," commented Mayor Simone Nosenzo . "Barbera here becomes an opportunity for encounter and sharing, a language that today increasingly engages the younger generations and an international audience. The participation we see every year, with the squares bustling with young people and visitors from far and wide, is a sign of a solid path, one that looks forward while celebrating its roots."
"Today, Nizza è Barbera is a structured project to promote the region, highlighting the work of the producers and the uniqueness of this appellation," emphasizes Mauro Damerio , president of the Nizza Regional Wine Shop. "The Barbera Forum represents its soul, with a wide participation of wineries and an increasingly rich tasting program. The goal is to continue offering an engaging and accessible experience, capable of presenting Nizza and Barbera d'Asti to an ever-wider audience."
The heart of the event will be the Barbera Forum , with over 70 producers and more than 400 labels available for tasting. This indoor space is designed to offer the public a tasting experience that maximizes the direct contact with the producers.
Four days of celebration will unfold around the Forum, featuring tastings, street food, and music in the city squares.
The “Nizza, Barbera & Music” format will also take center stage, with three stages and a rich program of concerts and DJ sets that will liven up the weekend, transforming the city into an open-air stage.
The event is organized by the Nizza Regional Wine Shop and the City of Nizza Monferrato , with the support of the Piedmont Regional Council, under the patronage of the Piedmont Region, the Province of Asti, ATL, the Chamber of Commerce of Alessandria-Asti, the Nizza Producers Association, the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato Wine Landscapes, Slow Food Alessandria and Colline Nicesi, Pro Loco of Nizza Monferrato, in collaboration with the Bank of Asti, the Cassa di Risparmio di Asti Foundation, the Barbera d'Asti Consortium and Vini del Monferrato.
