Protection of the landscape, safeguarding biodiversity and historic vines, valorisation of the territory and wine tourism, commitment to social issues and promotion of art and culture are the five categories in which Paladin, Cà Lustra, Bortolomion, Maculan and Farina excelled

The Italian Sommelier Veneto Association pays homage to Dino Marchi , former President of AIS Veneto and charismatic figure of the Sommellerie, with an award dedicated to his memory : the second edition of the Dino Marchi Memorial saw the awarding of five companies present in the Wine Guide of Veneto - Vinetia which have distinguished themselves for their activities of landscape protection, safeguarding biodiversity and historic vines, valorisation of the territory and wine tourism, commitment to social issues and promotion of art and culture. The award ceremony took place on Sunday 17 March during Vinetia Tasting . The event, which brings the best regional wines selected by AIS Veneto tasters to the heart of Treviso for tasting every year, saw the presence of more than 1000 people during the day.

The winner of the award for the protection of the landscape is Paladin , a company from Annone Veneto (Venice) that has always been active in valorising the specificities of the territory, as demonstrated by the creation of the educational vineyard Il Tempo della Vite , an open-air laboratory created in collaboration with the Universities of Padua, Milan and Bolzano and with the CREA body. The route includes a journey between past and future through the exploration of two areas, the first aimed at recounting the evolution of training methods in the history of viticulture and the second dedicated to the most modern agronomic techniques capable of ensuring full environmental sustainability of production winemaking.

Instead, it is Cà Lustra Zanovello , a winery in Cinto Euganeo (Padua), that was awarded in the category of safeguarding biodiversity and historic vines , thanks to the recovery project of old Euganean varieties curated by Severina Cancellier. The cultivation of pinella, pedevenda, marzemina bianca, corbinella, pattaresca and cavarara grapes was thus reintroduced. The intent is to support a "widespread collection" that ensures protection of the ampelographic heritage: some of these minor vines, abandoned because they are unprofitable or problematic, can become important resources for the agronomic challenges of the future. The company also boasts the creation of an ampelographic collection of Moscato, a vineyard made up of around seventy clones from all over Europe with the aim of studying the variety and tackling climate change.

The mention of the Dino Marchi Memorial for the promotion of the territory and wine tourism goes instead to the Valdobbiadene (Treviso) company Bortolomiol , which offers concerts, picnics and brunches in the park, tours of the places and history of the company, jeeps and bikes tour among the vineyards. In the Filandetta Park, the result of the restoration of the ancient Filanda di Valdobbiadene, Bortolomiol also hosts vernissages dedicated to painting, sculpture, architecture, design, book presentations and conferences.

Maculan , a historic winery in Breganze (Vicenza), obtains recognition for its social commitment thanks to the Santalucia solidarity project, the result of collaboration with the Banca degli Occhi del Veneto Onlus Foundation which aims to raise funds to support research on eye diseases .

The Farina company from Pindemonte (Verona) excels in the promotion of art and culture , which inaugurated the Art Ferment project in 2023 in collaboration with the renowned international art gallery Artericambi of Verona. The historical legacy of the winery thus merges with its contemporary perspective, creating a unique experience for wine lovers with excellent products, immersed in an atmosphere imbued with artistic creativity.
