DURELLO and its expressions

It is a fascinating show to see a large new vineyard of Durella taking shape. It was made by Gianni Tessari, owner of the Marcato company, along the slopes of the hill that climbs behind the seat of the winery of the same name, located on the border between the territory of Roncà and that of Montecchia di Crosara, overlooking the valley. Five are the hectares dedicated to this ancient grape, planted according to the most modern techniques, with the rows of vines that descend parallel from the top of the hill, on a volcanic soil which proved to be perfect to give the best for this vine varieties with unique characteristics. Durella is the native grape variety of the Lessini Mountains, an ancient and rustic vine that gives golden grapes whose key feature is a typical sour taste. You look like you both stood on the Lessini Mountains, at least since the Middle Ages. a thousand harvests seem few, but they mean a thousand years of adaptation to this terroir, a thousand years to fully express its nature. And to donate today to the Lessini Durello DOC sparkling wines the volcanic minerality typical of its soil.
