"Cocco ... Wine 2021" An invitation to the event and some news

The 2021 edition of Cocco ... Wine will take place in the first weekend of September.

Friday 3 September the preview day, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September the great tasting counter through the historic center of Cocconato.

One of the most delicious and popular food and wine events in Piedmont has reached its twentieth edition this year.

The Go Wine association promotes and organizes the event in agreement with the Municipality of Cocconato and with the newborn Consorzio Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato .

In such a particular period the formula remains unchanged, but with some warnings: by reservation, limited number to allow you to regulate the influx of people and avoid gatherings.

Cocconato will be transformed into a virtual wine road, in which to alternate wine tastings with typical local products, which will fill the historic center of the town and host the cellars of Cocconato and Monferrato.

Preview with inauguration and lounge

On Friday 3 September the preview of the event will take place with "Il Salotto di Cocco ... Wine" , with some special moments:

at 18.30 the inauguration of the headquarters of the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium is scheduled. The Consortium was born during this year, it brings together the wineries of the territory and artisans of taste who enhance the typical local products. An ambitious project to create a team and give more strength to the potential that Cocconato expresses with its territory and its historical vocation for taste.

The inauguration of the headquarters is an act of form and substance. The headquarters becomes the reference point for all the players who gave life to the project and for the food and wine tourism of the area.

Il Salotto di Cocco ... Wine will be hosted in this edition by Locanda Martelletti with the setting up of the tables in Piazza Statuto. The Salotto represents a moment dedicated to the table with the flavors and wines of the Cocconato cellars. Here each Cocconato winery will present a wine of the heart in a special wine shop. The wines can be paired with dishes designed for the occasion by restaurateurs of Cocconato.

The wines presented at the "Salotto" will be served only in this special moment and not present at the tasting counters of the event creating an exclusive tasting.

There will be three dishes for tasting: two proposed by Locanda Martelletti, one proposed by the Agriturismo Osteria della Pompa in Cocconato.

The tasting desk on Friday 3 September along the historic center will present some special themes, compared to the days of Saturday and Sunday:

-in the courtyard of Casa Fasoglio a selection of vintage Barbera d'Asti from the Cocconato cellars to celebrate the 20 years of Cocco ... Wine;

- along via Roma the Cocconato Riviera del Monferrato Consortium will present a selection of labels from the Cocconato cellars;

Go Wine will propose a selection of "Friends of Barbera d'Asti di Cocconato": that is a wine shop of red wines of over 40 labels, expression of other parts of the Piedmontese territory and other Italian regions.

The cost of the tasting at the tasting counter is € 10.00 and the public will receive a booklet for 8 tastings: 4 at the Go Wine wine shop, 2 2 at the two tasting points of the Cocconato cellars described above.

NEWS OF THE XX EDITION : The Paths in the Vineyard! Mini-tours will be promoted to visit the Cocconato vineyards and taste the Barbera di Cocconato in the vineyard. Duration of the experience about 75 minutes. Information at stampa.eventi@gowinet.it
