The awaited fourth edition of Champagne Experience , the reference event in Italy dedicated to champagne, will be presented with the full number of places available and with a rich and intense Master Class program. The event is organized by Società Excellence , a reality that brings together eighteen of the major Italian importers and distributors of excellent wines and spirits, and will be held for the fourth time in a row in the city of Modena.
On Sunday 10 and Monday 11 October , the spaces of Modena Fiere will host 120 champagne companies including historic Maison and small vignerons, ready to make their most representative interpretations known to the general public of fans and experts of French bubbles.
" There is great expectation from both producers and enthusiasts for this appointment which has now become unmissable and which returns after the suspension of 2020 due to the pandemic " explains Luca Cuzziol, president of Società Excellence . " The producers have joined with great enthusiasm and in advance of the program. The signal of trust and desire to start over that comes from Champagne Experience is clear and unequivocal ".
Confirming the interest in champagne also comes very encouraging signs on the distribution front in the first half of this year. " In most cases, the data coming from our shareholders are very positive, with even double-digit increases compared to 2019, which was already a record year - continues Luca Cuzziol -. Obviously, today more than ever, caution is needed, but it is clear that the reopening of the Horeca world has had a very important impact on the sales of champagne ". According to the president of Società Excellence, beyond the individual numbers, the message coming from the market is especially positive. " The role of distribution, which has always been fundamental for the Horeca sector, is rewarded, and even more so in this delicate moment of restart: the preparation of our agents, efficient logistics and a complete assortment make the difference ".
Champagne Experience will take place in full compliance with the regulations in force on the date of the event. Also this year there will be a Master Class program as always of great level both for the topics that will be addressed and for the speakers present. " Champagne Experience has always represented an unmissable opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the world of French bubbles. This not only thanks to the tastings and direct dialogue with importers and producers, but also to an intense program of lessons conducted by leading professionals " says Lorenzo Righi , organizer of the event and director of Società Excellence. The detailed calendar of the Master Classes with speakers, methods and participation costs will be published on the event website in September but some previews are already leaking. Among the topics announced: a focus on the world of Rosé, an in-depth study dedicated to long refinements on yeasts, a seminar on Blanc de Blancs, one on Prestige cuvées and one on biodynamic products.
As usual, the event will involve some of the food and wine excellences of the Emilian territory, which for years have accompanied the event with public success. In fact, thanks to the collaboration with the major Consortia, numerous free Master Classes will be held on Parmigiano Reggiano, Balsamic Vinegar, Lambrusco and Culatello.
A large restaurant managed by the "Modena a Tavola" Consortium will also be available within the event.
