BORGO di VINO

During Borgo DiVino there will be also space for history, with the participation of the Diffuse Museum of Wine of Monte Porzio Catone that will present a small exhibition on the production and storage of wine, and for art, with the "Painters of the Castles" exhibition, during which some artists of the Roman Castles will exhibit works of art depicting the most beautiful landscapes of the Castles and paintings made with paint containing wine.

The entrance to the exhibition is free.

The purchase of a voucher is required to take part in wine tastings and to receive the glass and the pouch to carry along.

The area of the exhibition is open on Saturday, 9th May, from 11:30 a.m.to 10:00 p.m. and on Sunday, 10th May, from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To reach the old town of Nemi it is possible to use the high–frequency shuttle bus service that connects the event venue with two car parks situated outside the old town, in via Nemorense and at the Sports Field of Via dei Laghi.

Thanks to the shuttle bus service, it will be easier to shop and take home a sip of the Roman Castles.



During the event you can participate in a number of side events, organized to make the weekend even more tasty:



Saturday, 9th May: ? 11:30 a.m. Opening of the stands: All wineries will host visitors for tastings. ? 5:00 p.m. – Ruspoli Palace: Tasting in collaboration with FISAR (Italian Federation of Sommeliers Hoteliers Restaurateurs). Ten participating companies present their products. The tastings are organized by expert sommeliers. ? 6:00 p.m. – Ruspoli Palace: Conference of Opening, with interventions on "Wine and Territory". With the participation of the Mayor of Nemi, Alberto Bertucci, and of the oenologist Sergio De Angelis. ? 10:00 p.m.: Closing of the stands.

Sunday, 10th May: ? 10:30 a.m.: Opening of the stands: All wineries will host visitors for tastings. ? 3:00 p.m. – Ruspoli Palace: Presentation of the study "The wines of the Roman Castles", made by a study group of the degree course in "Planning and Management of Tourist Systems", University of Tor Vergata in Rome ? 5:00 p.m. – Ruspoli Palace: Guided tasting in collaboration with FISAR (Italian Federation of Sommeliers Hoteliers Restaurateurs). Ten participating companies present their products. The tastings are organized by expert sommeliers ? 6:00 p.m. – Ruspoli Palace: Conference on the theme "Wine: Tips on the right consumption" held by the oenologist Sergio De Angelis. ? 9:00 p.m.: Closing of the stands. The Borgo DiVino event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Nemi, FISAR, Degree Course in "Planning and Management of Tourist Systems", University of Tor Vergata, the Roman Castles Park, the Library System of the Roman Castles, the Wine Museum of Porzio Catone.
