Bardolino chestnuts Monte Veronese the protagonists of autumn on Monte Baldo

Bardolino , together with chestnuts from Monte Baldo and Monte Veronese cheese, will be the protagonist of the 23rd edition of San Zeno Castagne, Bardolino & Monte Veronese , the festival dedicated to the autumn flavors of Monte Baldo , scheduled in San Zeno di Montagna (Verona ) from 8 October to 8 November . The initiative, commissioned by the San Zeno Restaurants Association together with the Consortium for the Protection of Chiaretto and Bardolino and the Consortium of Monte Veronese DOP cheese, involves five restaurants in San Zeno, which will offer tasting menus for the whole month to discover the flavors of the autumn season. With a bright ruby color and with its aromas of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cinnamon, pepper and clove, characteristic of red wines obtained mainly from Corvina Veronese grapes, Bardolino goes perfectly with autumn dishes, all the more so with those of the tradition of its territory of origin, Lake Garda and Mount Baldo. Among the dishes of the review, the rasagnole with chestnut flour with leek sauce and crispy speck proposed by the Ristorante al Cacciatore, the mignon beef medallion with mushrooms, chestnuts and butter whipped with herbs from the Bellavista Restaurant, the ravioli duet, pumpkin and chestnuts with venison ragout prepared by the Costabella Restaurant, the San Zeno ricotta flan, chestnuts and pumpkin on a bed of cabbage and Monte Veronese dark chocolate from the Sole Restaurant, the rabbit stuffed with chestnuts from San Zeno Dop accompanied by a savoy cabbage pie , chestnuts and Monte Veronese to taste at the Kus Tavern.
