BARBERA D'ASTI AND MONFERRATO WINES CONSORTIUM RUCHÈ FESTIVAL 2026: MAY 16TH AND 17TH IN CASTAGNOLE MONFERRATO

Following the positive response received from Anteprima Ruchè , which confirmed the growing attention surrounding the denomination with the participation of more than 250 visitors and the involvement of 16 companies, the Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium continues its path to valorise Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG with the return of the Festa del Ruchè , scheduled for Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May 2026 at Tenuta La Mercantile in Castagnole Monferrato.

The event follows the success of the Anteprima Ruchè event, which was particularly appreciated for its format, which allowed the public and operators to experience the new expressions of the denomination up close through tasting sessions dedicated to the 2025 vintage, confirming the interest that this grape variety continues to arouse among consumers, specialized press, and industry professionals.

" The Consortium's role is to protect and promote its denominations through concrete initiatives that enhance the Piedmontese winemaking heritage we represent and protect, " states President Filippo Mobrici. " Events like the Festa del Ruchè allow us to put our wines, the work of the producers, and the identity of the territories at the center, creating authentic opportunities to meet with the public and professionals. Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG is a denomination with a strong personality, producing over one million bottles, tied to a limited production area in the heart of the Monferrato Asti area. In recent years, it has gained growing attention in the markets and among enthusiasts thanks to its ability to combine territorial identity, gastronomic versatility, and contemporary style. The Festa del Ruchè was born precisely with the aim of sharing this uniqueness directly through the voices of the producers ."

Promoted by the Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium in collaboration with Go Wine, the event has become a key event for the region and for anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge of one of Piedmont's most distinctive wines. For two days, producers, wine enthusiasts, and visitors will gather at the historic Tenuta La Mercantile, an elegant late 17th-century estate surrounded by a refined Italian garden, a place that combines historic charm with a passion for hospitality.

On Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th, the Tenuta will open its doors to the outdoor spaces, offering a welcoming setting for experiencing the region through wine, food, and entertainment. The heart of the event will be the tasting tables, organized in dedicated shifts within the historic rooms of the complex, where the public will be able to freely sample the wines presented by the Consortium's member wineries, meet the producers in person, discuss the various interpretations of the appellation, and learn more about its characteristics, vintages, and production styles.

The outdoor spaces will be filled with a vibrant atmosphere, featuring culinary offerings featuring local specialties interpreted by a selection of local restaurants, designed to perfectly complement a glass of Ruchè. Saturday evening will be further enlivened by live music, transforming the Estate into a meeting place for conviviality, showcasing the connection between wine and local culture.

Admission is free, but a tasting ticket is required for participation in the tastings. The cost is €25 for the public, with a 10% discount for online purchases. Members of the AIS, FISAR, Go Wine, and ONAV associations will receive a discounted rate of €20 upon presentation of a valid membership card when picking up the tasting materials.
