Fattoria La Leccia reopens its doors to visitors for an August to taste

Fattoria La Leccia will be a summer full of events: to celebrate the resumption of visits to the winery, the month of August will have three events scheduled, all related to the promotion of the Montespertoli company.

By the sea

On August 1st he will reach the "sea" for God Save the Wine , a tasting evening and DJ set in Forte dei Marmi, inserted in the successful format created by Andrea Gori, restaurateur, journalist and sommelier. Starting from 20.00 the public will be able to discover the products of 10 wineries in Tuscany and Franciacorta, in the elegant setting of the Bagni di Villa Gray: Fattoria La Leccia will be present with its Toscana IGT Sangiovese in purity Leccino 2018, the Rosé Spumante Sangiovese Toscana Boh and the Bianco Toscana IGT Canta Grillo 2019.

In the basement

On August 8 the company will open its doors from 19.00 to 23.00 for Calici di Stelle , in collaboration with the Tuscany Wine Tourism Movement. The theme of this edition, which promises to be unique, will be "... and then we went out to see the stars again ..." For the first time after the stop in recent months, the doors will be reopened to the public for a moonlit evening where the tastings will be accompanied by notes of jazz music.

Another appointment will liven up the day of 8 to continue on August 9: Estate in Cantina , a series of events to discover the wine and the wineries in the area promoted by the Municipality of Montespertoli together with the Federation of Wine, Oil and Wine Roads Flavors of Tuscany. An important initiative for an area that bases not only its economy on wine, but also its culture and identity. Thanks to guided tours and tastings, Fattoria La Leccia will offer its labels in combination with the products of the Fattoria di Camporbiano di San Gimignano and the ancient grain bread of Montespertoli . Boh will be paired with cow's milk Cynarella with vegetable rennet, Cantagrillo will be accompanied by Greek wheat flavored Frassinella, Leccino dal Gran Camporbiano aged for 14 months and His Holiness by blue goat's milk blue. An opportunity to discover other excellences of the Montespertoli area.

Located on the hills of the Val di Botte near Montespertoli, Fattoria La Leccia is a company of artisan size, on a human scale, since the seventies run personally by the Bagnoli family.

The winery is located about 200 m above sea level between the Val di Pesa and the Val d'Elsa, in an area characterized by mixed soils, thin but rich in limestone, not very hospitable for the vine, which in the difficulty is best expressed, combined with a mild climate and ventilated by the summer sea breezes.
