Alba's historic center becomes a "wine route" for two Sundays!

The Go Wine Wine Festival returns to Alba again this year! This is the 27th edition of the event, which showcases the most representative wines of the Langa and Roero regions in the city's historic center .

A double event scheduled for Sunday 20 and Sunday 27 September 2026.

The initiative, promoted by Go Wine, is a popular event among Italian and international wine enthusiasts. This year's format will once again allow visitors to explore Piazza Risorgimento (Piazza Duomo), Via Vittorio Emanuele, and Via Cavour, transforming the historic center into a veritable "wine trail" for a day.

The event brings together wineries from the municipalities of Langa and Roero , maintaining its festive character, evoking the time and joyous nature of the grape harvest. Local promotion organizations, wineries, wine shops, and producer associations are also present. For several years, participation has also been extended to wineries from municipalities in the Monferrato area.

Tastings confirmed to open from late morning!

On both days, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., producers, organized through the participating municipalities, will present their products for tasting and promote their local traditions and events. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m.! From the celebrated Barolo and Barbaresco, the region's flagship wines, to the other noble wines of the Langhe and Roero: Nebbiolo d'Alba, Roero, Roero Arneis, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Dolcetto di Diano, and Dolcetto di Dogliani, and many more. It promises to be an extraordinary tasting experience with many labels represented: a unique opportunity to discover new and diverse products, to savor the charm of a tour through the historic city center, and to discover the distinctive characteristics of the hills surrounding Alba.

Some collateral events enrich the general program and will be presented over the next few weeks.

Starting with the Go Wine Lounge, which we introduce below. Visitors can enjoy tastings (both along the Wine Route and in the Go Wine Lounge) by purchasing a glass and a bottle, and then choosing and comparing the wines offered for tasting. Wines can also be purchased directly from the producers present.

GO WINE LOUNGE: Barolo, Barbaresco & More - Beppe Fenoglio Room

It was the new feature of 2024 and is now being proposed again for the third edition on both Sundays.

That is, a lounge area, a sort of tasting trail parallel to the wine route, which will host Barolo and Barbaresco presented by a selection of wineries.

Access to the Lounge area is by reservation only and will be open in three shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each Sunday.

It will take place on Sunday, September 21st in the Fenoglio Hall and on Sunday, September 28th in the Riolfo Hall, both with access from the Cortile della Maddalena. To ensure optimal use, the lounge area will be open in three shifts:

11:30 am - 1:00 pm

1:30-3:00 PM

The cost of the tasting, including the Wine Festival and Go Wine Lounge, is €30.00.

Advance tickets are now available for €25.00 (€5.00 discount and queue-skipping).

Seating at the Go Wine Lounge is limited, and reservations are recommended.

The masterclasses

Following the positive feedback from recent editions, the Masterclass schedule is being expanded. They will be held on both Sundays in the Mudet Sensory Room and in the Riolfo Room, and will explore multiple topics.

A tribute to the two great reds of the Langhe, two wines that were among the first in Italy to receive the designation of origin recognition in 1966. Conversation and tastings spanning 60 years of life and wine in the Langhe.

“Langhe vs. Napa Valley: A Comparison of Territories”

A guided tasting will compare two iconic wine regions. On one side, the Langhe, home of Nebbiolo and wines deeply rooted in their crus, exposure, and the characteristics of individual vineyards; on the other, the Napa Valley, renowned especially for Cabernet Sauvignon and reds of great structure, intensity, and maturity. A journey through six wines to discover the similarities, differences, and identities of two extraordinarily prestigious winemaking areas. Tasting of 6 wines.

“Classic method and terroir, blind bubbles”

As the Alta Langa region continues to reclaim its prestige as a Piedmontese sparkling wine region, a blind tasting will bring five great wines to the table. Four Italian regions, with Franciacorta, Oltrepò, and Trento, will be paired with the Alta Langa and Champagne.
