The event will be held on March 22nd in Santa Lucia di Piave (Treviso). In addition to the tasting table, there will be four tastings led by top sommeliers and a collective discussion of the appellations.

The fifth edition of Vinetia Tasting – Veneto in a Glass returns to the Santa Lucia di Piave Exhibition Center (Treviso) on Sunday, March 22. Organized by AIS Veneto ETS , the event brings together the region's finest wines in a single tasting table. The event will offer tastings of over 800 labels from approximately 150 wineries , selected by the Association's sommeliers for the Vinetia guide. Eight Consortia will participate, with dedicated areas dedicated to the Veneto regions and denominations.

The day will be enriched by a program of four masterclasses that will explore the styles, grape varieties, and interpretations of Veneto wine, led by some of the most authoritative AIS Sommeliers.

“With the collective storytelling of the Consortia and the insights led by our experts,” explains Gianpaolo Breda , President of AIS Veneto ETS, “ Vinetia Tasting confirms itself as an unmissable event for those who want to experience the best of regional production up close and understand the centrality of wine in the Veneto landscape and culture.”

"We are delighted to welcome Vinetia Tasting to our spinning mills for the second consecutive year. This high-quality event combines taste, local tradition, and professionalism," says Luisa Camatta , director of the Santa Lucia Fiere Special Company. "This year, AIS Veneto is once again offering a day packed with inspiration and opportunities for learning, which we are confident will attract a wide audience in our region, which has always had a strong vocation for winemaking and agriculture."

The first tasting scheduled, Metodo Classico Veneto: identity, territory and vision , will be led by Cristian Maitan , Best AIS Sommelier of Italy 2023: the itinerary will allow you to discover the different regional expressions on a journey that explores the most suitable production areas, the native and international varieties and the interpretations that are helping to define a new identity for the territory's sparkling wines.

Always hosted by Maitan, the second appointment, entitled Old Houses: time as a value , will offer a vertical tasting of six vintages of Amarone della Valpolicella Docg Case Vecie , an opportunity to observe the evolution over time and grasp the nuances linked to the refinement and maturation of a wine that has left its mark on Venetian production.

The focus will then broaden to the region's ampelographic heritage with Forgotten Vines: Veneto Resurfaces , a tasting dedicated to historic and lesser-known varieties, a journey through native grapes and lesser-known productions that contribute to the region's richness and biodiversity. Michele Manca , Veneto's Best Sommelier 2022, will lead the event.

The program concludes with The Tradition of Bordeaux Blending in Veneto , focusing on the role Cabernet and Merlot have played in the development of some of the region's most important winemaking expressions and their ability to interpret the diverse terroirs. The event will be hosted by Alberto Toffanello , Best Sommelier of Veneto 2025.

Alongside guided tastings, Vinetia Tasting will also offer an opportunity to meet directly with the organizations that protect the denominations and territories, thanks to spaces dedicated to the eight Consortia : the Consortium for the Protection of Valpolicella Wines, the Consortium for the Protection of Lugana DOC, the Consortium for the Protection of Bardolino Wines, the Consortium for the Protection of Lessini Durello Wines, the Consortium for the Protection of Custoza Wines, the Consortium for the Protection of Soave Wines, the Consortium for the Protection of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, the Consortium for the Protection of Garda DOC Wines, and, for the food section, the Consortium for the Protection of Asiago Cheese. This participation will allow visitors to gain an up-close look at the main Veneto denominations and the projects that accompany their development.

Throughout the day, AIS Veneto tasters will also accompany visitors on guided tours of the tasting tables, designed to guide the tasting and provide a deeper understanding of the regions and appellations. Themed tours will depart every ten minutes starting at 10:30 a.m. and will be available in both Italian and, for the first time, English .

Vinetia Tasting will be open to the public from 10 am to 7 pm . Online advance ticket sales , which include access to the tasting counter and guided experiences, are available until March 20th : the cost is 18 euros for AIS members and 23 euros for supporters.

The event is sponsored by the Veneto Region, and its partners include—in addition to the eight wine consortia and the Asiago Cheese Protection Consortium—Dolomia, Enaip Veneto, E-Graphic, Cibovagare, Passione Cibo, and Banca Sella.
