The countdown has begun for the new season of Vinòforum , the leading event in Central and Southern Italy for the national food and wine business, where wineries, consortia, and food companies find a direct channel to professionals, distributors, and the end public.
From Monday, September 7th to Sunday, September 13th, 2026 , the evocative setting of Piazza di Siena in Rome, in the heart of Villa Borghese, will host a week entirely dedicated to the excellence of Italian wine and cuisine. 800 wineries and consortia from across the country , representing 3,200 products, will offer an immersive journey through Italian winemaking to the thousands of guests who will liven up Vinòforum. Alongside the tasting tables, as every year, there will be an exclusive program of meetings, guided tastings, show cooking sessions, and signature dinners, bringing together top chefs, master pizza makers, and industry experts in a collaborative narrative celebrating the most representative flavors and regions of Italian and international food and wine.
" This new edition of Vinòforum will continue to showcase the best of Italian production, with a few international touches, using an increasingly contemporary language, " explains Emiliano De Venuti, organizer and CEO of Vinòforum. " Over the years, we have built an ideal platform where wine and quality dining have become the privileged meeting point for people, visions, and regions. This year, too, Piazza di Siena will be transformed into a tasting laboratory capable of creating connections between those who produce excellence and those who wish to discover it, developing a program of exclusive content and experiences that go beyond simple tasting ." Wine, told by those who know it best
The heart of the event remains the Wine Top Tastings , the masterclasses that every evening will guide the public through the most important wineries and the most surprising terroirs of the Italian and international wine scene, with two appointments per evening. Added to the calendar of meetings are the unmissable Casa Barolo tastings, dedicated to one of the noblest expressions of Italian wine: Barolo and the wines of the Langa.
Other excellences, including guided tastings and stories of the area
The tasting experience will also include other outstanding Italian products. The Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium , this year's special partner, will be hosting guided tastings and meetings throughout the week, celebrating the launch of the first Parmigiano Reggiano Tasters Course in Rome, starting in October.
The appointments with Unaprol and Evooschool are renewed, which will guide the public in the discovery of Italian extra virgin olive oil, including guided tastings and in-depth studies on the different cultivars and their pairings.
Signature cuisine takes the floor
The gastronomic narrative reaches its pinnacle at The Night Dinners, organized in collaboration with La Molisana. These exclusive dinners this year adopt the theme "Human Factor. Past. Present. Future," a tribute to the role of the human factor in culinary art. Each evening unfolds in multiple moments—memory, gesture, vision—accompanied by images and music designed for each act, creating an immersive experience more than just a simple dinner. The chefs' dishes are naturally enhanced by pairing them with fine wines.
Alongside the dinners, the Temporary Restaurants return with the theme "Rome: Roots and Future," a journey that intertwines the memory of local cuisine with its most contemporary interpretations: for a total of over 20 restaurants and 40 recipes in 7 days.
The white art protagonist
Master pizza chefs will also be featured, with the Pizza d'Autore program, co-produced with Molino Caputo , featuring six exclusive dinners with Italy's most respected masters of baking: a unique opportunity to explore innovative combinations of dough, flour, and premium ingredients. Furthermore, in 2026, Vinòforum will again host the final of La Città della Pizza in Piazza di Siena, the national competition that aims to showcase emerging talent in Italian pizza. On Sunday, September 13, seven finalists will compete for the title of Best Emerging Pizza Chef of the Year.
The opening ceremony
The 2026 edition officially opens on Monday, September 7th at 7:00 PM, with the participation of leading local institutions. The inauguration will be an opportunity to greet exhibitors and trade visitors, and reaffirm Vinòforum's role as a platform for promoting Made in Italy food and wine, in a city that is increasingly proving to be a key player in the sector.
