“25 Years of Recipes: Open Dialogues with Chefs”: Friuli Venezia Giulia Via dei Sapori celebrates its 25th anniversary with an extraordinary Dinner Show in the Piazzale del Castello in Udine

An incomparable location to celebrate 25 years of commitment (and success) in telling the story and beauty of Friuli Venezia Giulia through its cuisine, its wines, its products: Friuli Venezia Giulia Via dei Sapori has chosen the Castello di Udine as the backdrop for the Dinner Show with which it will celebrate this important milestone on July 8. A significant and symbolic location, given that the consortium chaired by Walter Filiputti was founded in Udine in 2000, with the support of the Pordenone-Udine Chamber of Commerce, which has continued to collaborate with the group for 25 years, sharing projects and initiatives. Today the Consortium is a close-knit group made up of 73 top-quality companies: 25 restaurateurs who - from the Adriatic Sea to the Alps - are standard-bearers of the many souls of regional cuisine, conceived and reworked by each according to their own personal research path; 24 winemakers and distillers and 16 artisans of taste supported by 7 technical partners .

The Dinner Show, which enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Udine and the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Pordenone-Udine, will be a large and elegant event , a true tour of taste, in which the chefs of the 25 restaurants of the group will present the iconic dish of the restaurant , the one that still represents it at its best, passed intact between times and fashions. Alongside them, at each station, a winemaker will offer a tasting of his wines chosen as the best pairing with the proposed food and will be available to the public to answer questions and curiosities. The stations of the restaurants will alternate with the stalls of the artisans of taste .

The appointment is in the evening, at 7:30 p.m. , in Piazzale del Castello on the top of the hill overlooking the city, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of Udine and the hills that surround it. Here an extraordinary gourmet journey will unfold, a sort of refined synthesis of the history of the last 25 years of regional cuisine . The title of the event is “25 years of recipes: Open dialogues with chefs” , to underline how the group’s aim is not only to “make and give” food, but also to think “about” eating, that is, to propose, tell, illustrate and make people understand the history, culture and territory that lie behind the dishes they prepare. And in Udine, the guest will find it there since the restaurants bring their iconic recipe.

After the welcome at sunset with the excellent products of the 16 artisans of taste partners of the consortium, the chefs will cook their iconic dishes live: AB Osteria Contemporanea of Lavariano di Mortegliano, Ai Fiori of Trieste, Al Gallo of Pordenone, Al Grop of Tavagnacco, Al Paradiso of Pocenia, Al Ponte of Gradisca D'Isonzo, Alla Luna of Gorizia, All'Androna of Grado, Caffetteria Torinese of Palmanova, Campiello of San Giovanni al Natisone, Carnia of Venzone, Casa Valcellina of Montereale Valcellina, Costantini of Collalto of Tarcento, Da Alvise of Sutrio, Da Nando of Mortegliano, Da Toni of Gradiscutta of Varmo, Enoteca of Buttrio , La Torre of Spilimbergo, Le Fucine of Buttrio, Lokanda Devetak of Savogna d'Isonzo, Mandi Parentesi Friulana of Lignano Sabbiadoro, Mondschein of Sappada, San Michele of Fagagna, Tre Merli of Trieste, Vitello d'Oro of Udine. In closing, each restaurant and the pastry chefs belonging to the consortium will present delicious desserts and stations for coffee and spirits will be set up. The Dinner Show will start at 7:30 pm. The price is €90. Tickets can be purchased in the group's restaurants and at the consortium secretariat (info@friuliviadeisapori.it - tel. 0432 530052 from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 pm). In case of bad weather, the dinner will be held on July 9th. The castle can be accessed by elevator , which will remain open.

The next appointment with the Dinner Shows will be on July 29th , when summer cuisine creations will be on stage on the beach of Grado , with the sea at sunset as a backdrop.

Over a million tastings served in the name of excellence and valorization of the territory, 185 events in 83 locations around the world in which the culture and food and wine of Friuli Venezia Giulia were promoted, over 2,000 recipes created to delight the public with unique dishes that told the regional culinary history in an original way, more than 35,000 bottles uncorked , 1,383 times in which winemakers, artisans of taste and partners appeared on the menus making each experience unrepeatable: this, summarized in numbers, is the photograph of the consortium that is the flagship of regional excellence in the food and wine field.
