MICHELIN STARRED CHEFS AND COOKING SHOW: FISH & CHEF LEADS YOU TO THE DISCOVERY OF GARDA



The 2015 edition will touch the three provinces bordering the largest Italian lake. In addition to traditional dinners dedicated to lake fish, for a whole week there will be cooking shows along the coast in Garda to discover the typical products of Benaco



For fans of lake fish, from 22nd to 29th April, Fish & Chef returns, the event that will tell the products of Lake Garda thanks to the skills of some of the most renowned Michelin starred chefs not only in Italy but also in Europe. In addition to traditional dinners, the 2015 edition will pay some major changes such as the cooking show week on the bank of the lake, in the beautiful town of Garda.

The event, for the first time, will touch the most beautiful localities in the three provinces that border the Benaco: Verona, Trentino and Brescia, to make discover excellences such as lake fish (in Lake Garda there are more than 40 varieties, from the trout to the rare and delicate "carpione"), the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Dop of Garda, the Garronese Veneta meat, the Custoza wines and other specialties. On the plates of the dinners signed Fish & Chef, in effect, there will be wine and food specialities like Pasta Monograno Felicetti, that stems from the experience of Pastificio Felicetti (1908) in Predazzo, Val di Fiemme.

To enrich the creations of the chefs there will be the Trota Oro products and the award–winning Ca’ Rainene extra virgin olive oils by Paolo Bonomelli, characterized by a deep bond with the territory of Lake Garda and its native cultivars. To conclude in the best way there will be the finest distillates by Roner, of course.

The 2015 edition of the event will soar thanks to a collaboration with Air Dolomiti that will provide easy access to the most Mediterranean of the alpine lakes and will accompany all events with its flight attendants.

The event will involve the starred chefs in this corner of the Veneto region, every night accompanied by a colleague from a different Italian region and for the first time also from Lake Constance. Among the chefs who will test on 22nd to 29th April, there are: Dirk Hoberg of the Ophelia restaurant of Riva Hotel in Konstanz, Germany; Marco Sacco of the Piccolo Lago in Verbania; Alessandro Gavagna of the Al Cacciatore restaurant of La Subida in Cormons (GO); Moreno Cedroni of the La Madonnina del Pescatore in Senigallia (AN) and Elio Sironi of the Ceresio 7 in Milan.



To host the seven evenings, elegant and refined locations like the Regina Adelaide Hotel in Garda, the Bellevue San Lorenzo Hotel in Malcesine, the Aqualux Hotel in Bardolino, the Lido Palace Hotel in Riva del Garda, the Grand Hotel Fasano in Gardone Riviera (BS) and the La Casa degli Spiriti restaurant in Costermano. Right La Casa degli Spiriti will host the final stage of the event with a 30–hands dinner prepared by 15 top chefs of the Garda who will play at home to interpret the products of their territory. This year Fish & Chef, therefore, is becoming an opportunity to raise awareness of the three banks of Benaco, of landscapes, castles and breathtaking views that surround this lake, a destination for tourists from all over the world.

To them, the festival will also offer a novelty: for the first time the event will liven up the coast of the town of Garda with show cooking in the open air at which visitors will have the opportunity to delight their palates and learn the secrets of the protagonists in the kitchen. To host these shows of taste, the STOBAG I.S.L.A. space, with the transportable kitchen by Electrolux.
